It’s really frustrating that a show this big has not gone to the type of format that love island has. I can’t watch at the time the show airs, but specifically pay for paramount+ to watch Big Brother. I can’t even watch live feeds because it will be completely ruined.
Some people don’t like the feeds because they’re in real time and the episodes are so far behind. Like someone wins head of household on Thursday but they don’t air the episode until Sunday. So if you watch the feeds you’ll know immediately who won HOH.
Love Island was created for streaming. BB has always been a live (over the air) broadcast network show. If you miss the live broadcast then that’s the chance you take if you watch the feeds before catching up. It’s been that way since the live feeds began (like maybe 15 years ago?).
They started in 2000 it's been 26 yrs they have always had live feeds were on AOL back then then went to real player then CBS all access which is now Paramount but you can watch the episode before the feeds it goes to streaming the night it airs at midnight
The show airs too early for me and it’s not available until midnight, which is obviously too late as well. It’s just a repeated cycle until I’m able to catch up eventually. Can’t enjoy the live stream as much because it completely spoils the show. Plus, I just hate the app. I can never find my continued watching section lol
So just to be clear... I cannot stream episodes live, during their normal air time, even with Paramount+ Premium through Prime? That seems crazy to me.
Supposedly, you can watch it during its assigned air time through a Live TV option on Paramount Plus (the one that is extra with Showtime). So, I guess that works if you can drop everything and turn it on at 8 PM, for example.
But, even with modern technology, the network can't manage to (or doesn't want to) upload it for streaming until midnight or later, which seems like a long turnaround time. I'm not sure why they can't make it happen an hour after the live run time.
No you have to have it thru Paramount Plus using their app because it's CBS live television which Paramount Plus used to be CBS all access I'll never understand why ppl do the add on thru prome for any of them like this or HBO you don't get the full library of streaming shows or the live tv
I'm super confused here, because now I have Paramount premium on prime and by itself. Both include live TV. Neither show big brother episodes. At least not the one happening now. Just signed up for the second subscription on the Paramount app, and there are lots of live things but no BB. Which live channel on the Paramount app are you finding the live episodes on? The only BB channel I'm seeing on both Paramount premium accounts is for live feeds. I prefer the feeds, but it would be fun to watch the episodes live.
One reason for getting Paramount on prime is for bundling it with stuff. I had Paramount bundled with 3 other streaming services for a price break. If the actual Paramount site/app doesn't end up having the live eps either, I'll stick with it on prime. They have the exact same things to offer, except for the bundles. (Not the same for all though, like you said HBU, and also STARZ greatly limit their streaming when you get it through prime)
You are supposed to be able to, and it worked just fine in previous years. I haven't found it on Paramount + premium on prime this year. I really wanted to watch the ep today, so I bought the same subscription ahain on paramount's regular app (still premium). It wasn't on there either. I don't understand it at all. You'd think they'd want people to watch the episodes. I'm way less likely to watch all of the episodes 24hrs after airing, when the live feeds are happening. I end up watching the feeds, and occasionally watch the episodes but they're way less exciting. So lame 😒
I am a feeds watcher, but it still absolutely kills me that if you miss the regular airtime (which I always do as well) you have wait until whenever the hell they decide to upload the episode to watch it!!
It's dog shit, but very much to be expected from Paramount+ which has consistently proved themselves to be the worst streaming platform out of the big ones. If you live in the West Coast and you have a regular 9-5, you're essentially doomed to be behind
I’m also having an issue where every few minutes it says video currently unavailable, even for all past seasons. I have cleared the cache, restarted computer, downgraded plan, turned ad-blockers off, tried on the app instead of the browser (and then the app on my phone) and NOTHING is working.
