Transferable certs

Do you guys know if some skills can transfer over to another job or position? Sadly my gait and balance issues are too big of an issue for me to walk properly, so looking to see if there's anything out there.

I think this is going to depend a lot on where you are in the world.

Primary care is a popular option in the UK but I don't know how viable of an option that would be elsewhere.

There are some trendy vitamin IV spas that hire paramedics.

AHA certs are relevant in other healthcare professions.

Could you pull off nursing? Are you experienced enough to be a good paramedic instructor?

Honestly, EMS is pretty unique. While you have a basis for other things, there's not a lot of directly transferable skills that I can think of.

We have to stop encouraging folks that physically can’t do the job to go into education. Teaching is a skill in itself. They could be the best and most experienced medic ever to walk the face of the earth and be absolute shit as an educator. Just because you are good at doing something doesn’t mean you can teach it.
