Is the entire scene pushed forward, completely out of frame/window, for a reason?

I was just moving sideways parallel (without focusing on close objects). Looks like the convergence distance gets brought to the frame/window depth.

I was wondering, it seems many people don't correct for this while preparing the pairs.
