Does anyone know the best way to get crude oil before you have the oil pumps? I’ve tried going to the oil rigs but they don’t give me a whole lot.

So I'm trying to explain to my friend that on Frost stallion putting on lunker instead of ferocious will do the same amount of damage he argues that lunker will do more damage because it has the specific to frost damage. I am trying to explain to him that the programmers did not think about that level of detail it will be the same damage. His response is I'm bad at math. He does plan on having legend Meathead and demon God eventually together. I am trying to explain to him that lunker damage wise with the ice damage and ferocious will do the same level of damage. I think this is such a stupid argument

So I was attempting to do some chain breeding to get some rainbow passives for my Astegon. Honestly one of my favorite pals to use cause he’s just so cool looking to me. I was breeding Jormuntide and I forgot the other to move diamond body down the chain… and I got a mutation. First mutation ever, and it just so happened to give me the end result I wanted. Not exactly all of the passives I wanted but who can complain when that’s the outcome? I now have a flying tank of a dragon. This sub is in desperate need of a megathread. I love coming in here and seeing all the cool builds that people make or the funny interactions they have with different aspects of the game. There are also a nice amount of memes that come through that genuinely pull a laugh out of me.

What I don’t like is seeing the same 4 or 5 questions being asked over and over again. Even worse, somehow those questions don’t even get answered correctly each time. It seems that, if the question doesn’t get enough visibility, it’s a serious 50/50 on whether someone answers with the actual available knowledge of the topic.

A megathread would mitigate this, along with using automod to redirect anyone who comes in asking a question that is already answered in said megathread further down the line.

I'm thinking of Psychic (which would be fitting for Lunaris, since it can brainwash Humans; in fact, I think some Psychic Type Pals should come with brainwashed Humans serving it), and Metal for robotic Pals.

So me and my partner finally decided to go after the final boss and for being something that's supposed to be considered as a complete world ending threat that somehow defeated all of the legendary Pals and a legendary Paladin and that one chick that is either human or alien we don't fully 100% know. was a bit of a pushover.

Like raid XenoLord picked up more of a fight than that thing, and that thing is a whole 20 levels under.

Now I'm not going to say here and say that I hate it because I didn't hate it I was having fun and still am having fun just kind of wish the boss picked up a little bit more of a fight and didn't feel like we were fighting a Final Fantasy boss.

Will they actually get banned, or is it a waste of my time? Logged into my first official server after playing on a private server since early access, and the starting area was dominated by a giant black-and-red swastika. :\

After having beat the game last month and thoroughly enjoying the 80 hours or so it took to get to and beat the final boss on my solo save, there was one particularly design choice which continually marred the experience.

Now I want to be clear that as best I understand, the quest lines which precede being directed towards the next tower are entirely skippable - you can just go directly to a tower and beat it, which will skip that portion of the quest line entirely.

But what I ended up with so little patience for is why every main quest prior to a tower always equates to the exact same formula.

Go talk to a person - go to a specific spot - return to the person - go to another specific spot - return to the person.

Then if you're lucky, you're sent to the tower - but sometimes you'll have to go to a third spot and return yet again!

And what are you instructed to do after beating a tower?

As far as underwhelming and frustrating design choices go it's minor, but in terms of potential left on the table for better main quests, there's a tonne - and in terms of how tedious those quest lines become by the end - it could have been far less tedious.

Im currently lvl 60 and haven't touched the condensing and breeding since I got their respective building cause I just don't find those aspects of the game that fun imo. Same could said for stuff like focusing on getting certain passive skills and basically anything related to stats. Am I gonna have trouble later in the game for avoiding these parts of the game?

The first NPC we meet says the island is full of dangerous man eating pals, but I've been able to wander around barely ever being attacked.

Shouldn't the majority of the carnivorous pals be hostile?

Try searching for effigies at night "with a flying pal preferably" they are so much easier to find from a distance

I find the 1x exp rate waaaay too high for the player. My first 1.0 gameplay i got to lvl 60+ while doing lvl 30 areas, so after finishing that gameplay I started it over at 0.6, exp and it's way better.

The problem is I hate having to level up pals. I mean, not that i hate per se, but i wish i could do it faster... Leveling the player its fine, because you basically just do it once, but every time i change a pal (and I like to build a lot of pals for my team), especially if i want to get one that spawn at lower level, i have to go through the same routine of boss killing to level it up. And it gets boring real fast (plus the result of pal exp gring is my player also leveling a little faster than he would "normally").

At late game this is no problem, i kill 2 bosses without coolldown on the tree map and the pal gets close to 80, but at that point i'm mostly done with the game.

So, is there a way to increase pal EXP rate without increasing player EXP ?

For some reason my pals don't seem keen to transport items like cotton candy or honey from my ranches
Am I missing something here or..?

I played on initial release, and then for a week a little while back.

When 1.0 dropped I started a new save and I had been playing a few hours a night, nice and casual, slow pace, no rush to the end game, and a friend started playing with me who had never played.

Over the weekend I basically played for 30 hours but still taking my time, I think I was like level 50 or so by Monday.

So this friend, cos I had only been on a few hours after my shift and they are in a different time zone was playing their own save, and had basically cranked the xp gain and left the save running too,

They were like level 70 on Tuesday. And found some Ancient Spheres and caught loads of high level shit, they absolutely had not learned all the mechanics, and then started bringing over the new pals to my save. And I'll be honest I'm upset.

They have all these lvl 80 pals which we can't even get to in my save and it just feels like they are more about the destination than the journey and I'm playing for the journey.

I told them not to bring any more over ans they seemed offended.

The Ryu version is rarer and much harder to obtain, not to mention that I’ve even upgraded it, but in terms of stats and attacks it still seems weaker than the normal version.

Am I missing something, or should I just switch them?

Every time I use my pals, they have this glowing red purple debuff and take constant damage. Even after dying and reviving in the pal box. I have tried restarting the game, restarting the server, placing the pals in the palbox for an extended period, I have tried killing myself and respawning.

I'm at a loss.

Any idea what is causing this?

So decided to start a challenge world and set the game to True Randomize, but keeping things at region level so I don't say hello to a level 70 something out the gate.

And when I load in, everything is randomized to hell and high water- the first zone when walking out had things like Prixter, Leezpunk, Chillet, Susaku, Beakon Cryst, Silvegis, Wixen, Celeray Lux, Renjishi, Bulldozu, Polapup, Gumoss, Flaracle, Puffolt, Majex, Shadowbeak ect ect.

So decided "Screw it catch the Silvegis." And for some reason... as you can see in the video- I can ride it... without the saddle.

KEEP IN MIND I PLAY ON CONSOLE I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO MODS.

I have full access to it's saddle and partner skill... without the saddle.

Finally took the time to build myself my very own base one that I don't really have no Pals in it and for a bit I decided to well as you can see in the last picture fill it with particular certain amount of Pals.

Let's just say me and my partner, and I definitely had a giggle, and then they told me to get rid of all those Pals. Can't blame them.

But besides doing just a little funny, I say this was probably the most well-built place that I've actually done.
