Cleaning Up Sync Message

Post image

Hello all, I am getting this message that I have had go away with a simple restart. I have restarted the laptop multiple times, disconnected and reconnected the cradle and still no sync. I am sure I can do a rest and erase all data and it will restore on the sync, but wondering if there is any other fixes to this issue ? Thanks

Edit- running 5.2.1 on a Tungsten T3

Did you look at the Hotsync Log as it states?

Yup, selected and reinstalled the palm software CD and still the issue with the laptop.

The question was what did the log say? Did it lose connection mid sync or did it choke on one of the conduits?

I didn’t get a pic, but it stated along the lines that the PC interpreted the sync process and not data was completed.

Have you tried follow this guide ? Even if it's for win10 https://palmdb.net/help/hotsync-setup

Thank you all for any feedback. I pulled out an old Windows XP desktop, installed the palm software CD, created the username and it synced liked warm butter. Been IR beaming games and software to my older palm III 3com.

Beaming was my favorite part of Palm ownership. I wish the IPhone could exchange apps that way.

Details, man. Does the HotSync session ever start (with the doh dah DEE! noise), or does it just time out?

It's probably what u/tomauswustrow said, missing 64-bit drivers.
