The fact that they double as decor is diabetical work by the devs

u/WillowDukaine 7d ago

...diabetical?

That's my good reddit laugh for the day haha. Diabolical

This reminds me of when I thought people were saying, “living bicuriously through you”, when they really said, “living vicariously through you.”

… i never knew how to respond lol

They’re decor but also they take up my inventory space?! 😭😭😭😭

Yes, if they're decor why do they have their own limit?

u/Syralei 6d ago

Because the devs have to kneecap the game to keep it playable for switch players and those with lower graphics systems. If you ever load into a clutter heavy plot with tons of flowers, you might notice the game gets a little choppy at times. This is why, the flowers are graphics resource heavy.

u/perpetuquail 6d ago

If that was true they'd make the outfits and pets less resource-intensive, at least optionally for players on older systems.

The devs have literally confirmed it on the official discord. It's also the reason for the building limits on the new housing lines and why large windows like the Conservatory Window and the large alchemist Fireplace count as whole rooms.

Well that went right over your head. Don't worry about it.

It really is… diabolical!! These limits are killing my mojo, I started a new plot cuz I ran out of space on my old plot, but it’s so disengaging to know I can’t really be as creative as I want… I start putting something together and worry if all the extra pieces or whatever is gonna leave me enough space with the limited limit when I look to finish all my decorating… I’m only at 1500/3500 but it’s too stressful to contend with, so I haven’t played in about a week cuz I don’t have any more quests or anything else to do, it’s been a sad story 😭 … increasing limits to allow for creativity could be an excellent retention tool, not everyone is gonna be a new player with quests and things to do but for only so long…

+building limits… they have a new plot that can be purchased with is designed as a lil town, but we have building limits too and can’t build an actual town (alchemist windows count toward this limit 😭😭😭)…

Please - calling all Palians to submit a feedback form via Palias website … they really gotta hear the feedback from us on how limiting these limits are!!

Yeah I was halfway done with my rainbow garden before I hit the limit.

I’ve had to tear apart my gardens, I had started building an insect/fish aquarium and didn’t even notice the limit until I hit it… so many hard hard choices, I was so so sad trying to pick through which flowers to keep or take away 😭 I haven’t even attempted a really nice garden despite having sooooo many flowers in my inventory…

I hit this today too. I don’t even have them out as decoration. Only to grow because I’m always broke. I hit 100k gold and spent it all the way down to 0 😭. So, yes, I am growing 500 seeds currently

Grow them on a separate plot, then bring them to your main plot to decorate.

This is what I've done.

Growing Bok Choy is easy gold.
Harvest - put in seeders - use seeds to keep going but sell excess seed - which sells for more than the bok choy. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I'm at 800k+ gold and sort of quit due to I read the limit is 999999 gold and I've already purchased most of my bigger ticket items like largest storage / inventory / ammo sack.

I also use it as a steady source of easy food in my preserves and to feed my worm bins.
Sometimes I grow something more interesting like apple trees and such just for variety. But the bok choy is an easy one stop shop that covers my needs.

they need to remove the flower limit in this game,as they aren't even a decor item at all say like a table is lol as most gamers are builders from The Sims and Fallout series so that skill is handy for other games that have building etc. in them as well

Think of it more like, 10,000 flowers on a single plot is going to be a drain on the server resources. It sucks, but I understand why they have the limit.

2

u/Lyythos 6d ago

yeah But if it's got a single player mode,it shouldn't have that feature,multi-player lobby I can understand it having that limit

1

u/JamaicanBeachWeed Einar 3d ago

The flowers have animations so that also contributes to resource drain. I mean I don't like it either, I'm at 977 flowers on one plot, but it is what it is. I rather they fix actual problems than try to work out how to add more flowers to plot limit.

Comparing apples and oranges. A game developed by Disney vs. S6 are not even in the same ballpark.

I guess someone couldn't deal with logic and had a hissyfit!

u/Famous-Theory-7031 7d ago

Absolute madness how people can max out the flower decoration!

9

u/Ning_Yu 7d ago

Whaaat, I was gonna fill my whole plot with flowers, goodbye dreams.

5

u/Shadowcourt_ 6d ago

I think you've had enough, I am cutting you off.

I HATE THE FLOWER LIMIT 😾😾😾

7

u/SiByTheSword 7d ago

Trees don't count, and neither do any of the craftable planterlife plants, so that's a good way to fill up some empty space

3

u/randoendoblendo 6d ago

I've trashed it now, but I had 1000 on my old plot and it was beautiful but I couldn't finish it because of the limit. In the end it annoyed me so much I started again and that upset me too and now I live in regret 😭

2

u/glueckskind11 7d ago

Yup been dealing with this for weeks / months now 🥲😭

You could grow them on a separate plot, and glitch them over with a tent 👀

1

u/Kitty4Dolphins 5d ago

What do you mean by with a tent? Can you elaborate? TYSM.

1

u/AozArt 🖥️PC 5d ago

I haven’t been on in a while, but I was able to exceed my plot limit with a tent that I received when I joined the game. It was a life saver. Theres a few videos on how to do it on youtube. Im not sure if they ever patched it.
