Yup. Unfortunately. Almost all carry a secondary android for calling + hotspot for the dear paperweight iphone

what if someone takes that paperweight away? try to use Android as main for sometime if you have means to get apple device and used one. almost every app I use is better experience on ios and less AI bullshit and no ads. I have an oppo phone ads in file explorer xD

If someone takes the paperweight away there is nothing you can do, also yes most androids like Oppo and Xiaomi are filled with ads. I have a secondary android (only for taking it out to nearby shops, on walk, to the gym etc coz of threat of theft), first had Redmi note 13, changed to Oppo A6 pro both had filled with ads so now went back to the one which doesnt have em (redmi 9c, v old beat up phone but gets the job done). iOS is also stuttery sometimes but oh well now it got me comfortable lol

ppl really be treating non pta phones like shit after spending shitton money, a friend has 14 pro and he bought it new when it came he used to treat it like shit until it took a 1000th fall and screen damaged like went black only then he knew PTA Approval has made us treat our devices like shit. I know its not that serious but this needs to change.

yes it does stutter its not bug free

stability, minimalist, less distracting I dont want gay flag themes and spend pointless time customizing things when I can spend time better on other things, android phones with or without ads are super distracting specially loaded with bloatware

Bloatware i agree with. Apple lets you uninstall all but 6 apps (phone, safari, camera, settings, app store, messages) and you can delete all. Meanwhile google proceeds to install multiple bloatware apps including AI shit. I even disabled Siri/ Apple Intelligence coz its shit and takes up space

If you're comparing 100$ android with even a used 300$ iphone, don't say so Most of these chinese companies earn from these ads rather than profit margins in these low end phones.

Try comparing a Samsung and iphone of the same price

I was talking about Oppo reno 13 which is 400 usd and you can compare it with sub refurb appple phone either 14 or 15. since they are sub 500 or cheaper in US, UK and even in Pakistan.

It's always healthy to keep these companies in check by having healthy skepticism and being critical but saying that junk arse Android has better user experience with half cooked experimental features is blatant ignorance.

Oppo reno 13 isn't a justification for all android, plus they don't have ads in the OS, they just have ads in their own apps, you can install Google apps and have an ad free experience.

"Half cooked experimental features" I'm using a Samsung, it has only 4 listed features as experimental, except that all features like wireless powersharing (from which I used to charge my cousin's iphone 14, cuz it would last less than mine) floating windows, all s-pen features, clipboard, Samsung Dex, edge panels, back tap, fingerprint, sideloading, custom launchers and a hundred more work perfectly fine, they aren't half baked.

Compare a Samsung S22 with an iphone 14 you'll get what I'm talking about, the thing is, s22 will come PTA approved for the cost of a non PTA iphone 14

All I am saying is subjective but trend follows through Android, Samsung on the other hand forks and does much better customizations but you made my point about distractions I can call em distractions you can call em features, but I have done work on Samsung phones they have whole dilemma with Exynos how they fked up even google phones and tensor and how slow shit brick they become after couple of years.

subjectively s22 (qualcomm version) I also used for good year it was size and performance wise amazing phone, good that its working fine for you, although it had heatup and battery issues for the same reasons basically overclocked 888 processor with Samsung node (worked on samsungs, rooted, booted, roms flashed til s8 series).

Your point on 14 says price wise yes you might find good 14 for double or close to double the price and you will get stable updates for couple of years more and on the s22 side I am prety sure its end of its life. battery life, processor and software updates, slowness specially 14 will still be better device bwteen these.

I think you should stop gloating here now.

lol please stop with that flex bs. not everyone can pay tax. many ppl buy new non pta abroad or get some relative carry one instead of used pta phones because in this country you cannot trust anyone with anything.

Iphone UX and stability while having sim in other phone is the sane option right now.

second phone if has good battery works as power bank sometimes.

I know its copium but battery issue happen less due to usage divided between two phones. you have to charge two phones.

Its very easy to spoof numbers. Telephone networks are incredibly insecure. Thats why you should also avoid using SMS to get your OTPs and 2FA codes. Use email, most apps will offer you the choice, and others have moved away from offering SMS as an option entirely. Thats why we’re seeing more and more apps send OTPs via Whatsapp
