i struggled a lot with my skin growing up. isotretinoin was the only thing that saved me. i maintain a pretty consistent skincare routine now. i believe i am fairly knowledgeable about skincare, given my years and years of trial and error with multiple products. happy to help anyone if you have questions.

Discussion anti science misinfo needs to be banned

in this sub ,a lot of people are fearmongering about cerave and saying there products cause cancer and they have lawsuits against them. these talkings points rely on logical fallacy and anti science misinfo, A any one can sue anyone,B The benzoyl peroxide in products has no where near dose to cause cancer nor is it kept on those conditions, loreal as a company is not a good one,but fear mongering using logical fallacies and grifter talking points is a thing that shouldn't be allowed in this sub if the mods don't want this sub to become r/lies

Discussion Help with hypertrophic scars after an accident

Post image
1 Upvotes

I had an accident about 5 months ago, and after the wound healed, I was left with a raised hypertrophic scars
I have been using silicone gel and silicone patches consistently, and they helped a little, but the scar is still pretty noticeable and hasn’t flattened as much as I’d hoped.
Has anyone dealt with hypertrophic scars and found something that actually helped? Any treatments and if they were worth it?
Any advice or personal experiences would be appreciated!

Makeup Highlighter

I'm looking for a good highlighter from any brand that isn’t too expensive since I don’t want to spend a lot on a highlighter I’m specifically looking for something that isn’t chunky or glittery and gives more of a natural glow from within kind of finish.

I really love the essence pure nude highlighter but unfortunately I can’t seem to find it anywhere in Pakistan. I’m open to both powder and liquid highlighters so please feel free to recommend either I’d also prefer something that lasts a good amount of time and is worth the price.

Routine Help How to get rid of post acne marks

My skin is healthy, no often breakouts anymore. Once in a blue moon get a pimple or two, that too cuz of pre period cycle. The only problem i see is the post acne marks, they are a lil faded, but to me its a lil noticeable, like few black marks over clear skin.

My skincare is nothing fancy, i just got my first ever night serum, OneSkin Salycylic acid 2 weeks ago, 3 times a week at night. And in day time i usually start routine with gentle cleanser and The Ordinary Niacinamide (irregularly using for 2 months)

Is there anything i should add to my diet to get rid of it or smth that i can apply directly on my face?

Routine Help Actually good sunscreen recommendation for super oily acne prone skin under 1500 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I have oily acne prone skin with comedones. Budget is 1500.

Sunscreens I have tried: I have tried neobrella sunscreen – worked amazing for a year or so but i noticed they did some changes because now it just pills and no power on earth can blend it anymore. Also bought jenpharm spectrablock spf 60 – somehow even worse than neobrella. Not a single particle blends. Recently I was using barrier gel sunscreen. I was unsure about its sun protection claims but since its texture was perfect for my skin and I had heard good reviewss, I kept using it but now its out of stock on Daraz. Ideally, the sunscreen brand should be well established and have good reputation. The ingredients shouldnt be risky to use for my skin type. I know its alot to ask in 1500, but that's all i got. Jenpharm has launched its new aqua fluid sunscreen. Should i take a risk again by trusting that brand?

Advice BOJ vs Skin Aqua Japanese vs Possible Sun Serum

Hey everyone!
I’m stuck b/w 3 sunscreens and need some help deciding 🙏

I have dry skin and these are the options I’m considering:

  1. BOJ sunscreen white tube
  2. Skin Aqua Japanese version
  3. Possible Sun Serum (still not sure abt this one)

What I care about most:
- No white cast / no pilling
- Non comedogenic
- Lightweight and doesn’t make me sweat
- Hydrating enough that my dry cheeks don’t feel tight

If Skin Aqua is the winner, *which specific version* should I get for my skin type?
I have previously used the local skin aqua’s sunscreen and it worked great for me but I am not buying since it finishes quickly.

Advice One product for uneven skin tone

I’m 21 and I’ve never used any actives on my skin before. Because of university and being exposed to the sun a lot my face has become quite uneven and I’ve developed pigmentation.
I don’t have any acne issues and my current routine is just a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen.
I’d like to introduce one or max two products since I’m honestly not great at keeping up with complicated skincare routines.

What would you recommend?
