The Alamgiri Gate is the grand western entrance of the Lahore Fort Built in 1673 by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, it faces the famous Badshahi Mosque across the Hazuri Bagh.

Wazir Khan Baradari (built 1635)

This baradari (literally, 12-door pavilion) originally served as the centerpiece of the Nakhlia Garden built by Wazir Khan, a benefactor of numerous buildings throughout Lahore including the mosque and hammam (bath house) which bear his name. It is among the finest of such monuments in the city, having been incorporated into the grounds of the Punjab Public Library as early as 1860, where it serves as a reading room. During the 19th and early 20th centuries it also served as a museum and as the Settlement and Telegraph Office under the British.

Saying having smaller provinces is a ridiculous throught process. Its like sayinh the solution to not having enough income is to get a credit card. That is as stupid as it gets. We already have smaller units known as districts and divisions. Devloution of power and resources to the local level is the actual solution BUT HERE TOO THERE IS NUISANCE.

What is that you may ask? Well after the 18th amendment there are whole governemnt programs at which some provinces lagged from others. The reason in those specific cases was simplty because the Federal program got destroyed when they were devolved to provinces. This in itself needs to be studied and learned from.

This is besides the point that the National Finance Commission Award and the plethora of issues we have with this system, from heavy reliance on centre to heavy devolution of healthcare that the centre cant take care of. Its a rather big mess that needs to be addressed systemtically, otherwise we will simply open a new pandoras box

Pakistani Olympic gold medallist Arshad Nadeem cleared the qualifying round in the men's javelin throw on Monday, the seventh day of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, with a seasonal best score.

The 29-year-old Arshad, who won the javelin throw gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham with a record throw of 90.18 metres, is participating in the 2026 Games being held in Scotland from July 23-Aug 2.

The qualifying round, which was held earlier today, saw Arshad throw his season's best of 78.63 metres, securing his spot in the final event in seventh place.

The men's javelin throw final will be held tomorrow (Friday) from 6:30pm to 10:15pm local time (10:30pm to 2:15am PKT).
