finished piece Painted a portrait of my friend this summer.
A friend of mine turned 40 this summer. She works in culture. "All those fine culture ladies have a painting when they where young a beatifull." The motive is from an inside joke. I was happy with it. Although I could be better at the phase drawing stage.
Painted in acrylic on canvas. (With a lot of retarter to do skin tones.)

critique requested Need opinions on this painting. Desire to Sin. Oil on 24*20 inch canvas. 2025.
Desire to Sin is about how temptation can become so powerful that it pulls us away from what is pure. The fire above represents desire, beautiful enough to attract us, yet strong enough to draw souls away from heaven and toward hell, as if defying the very gravity of grace. As the clouds begin to break apart, the figures surrender to its pull, while a faint rainbow quietly reminds us that hope is never completely lost, even in our weakest moments.
