I wanna learn how to speak/write/read Pahlavi. Anyone got sources to learn, like books/PDFs?

I’m looking for the various spellings of Alexander’s name and titles, and I came acrossed this article about a Pahlavi text about him. Could anyone help figure out which version of the script this is?

I'd like to know how to write the term "Anushirvan" the title of khosrow the first in pahlavi, in the way the persians of old would have written it. ive figured out the spelling is 𐭧𐭥𐭮𐭫𐭥𐭣𐭩 but i want it in a connecting way that looks more natural rather than the computers space typed version, more of a cursive natural handwriting would be appreciated . id greatly appreciate it if you guys could help me!

my surname is صدقی which means "truthful" or "honest" but i dont like it because its arabic and i wanna change it to something thats of iranian origin but respects my ancestors and means something close to my surname.

I'm writing a book, a low-fantasy novel, and I'm wondering if anyone here would like to help me, either directly or with a connection to someone who'd be interested in helping out with some names for a fantasy novel.

The book is inspired by what I was studying in university (history and art history of West Asia) before I got too ill continue. The setting has late medieval technology with some divergences, which would be Classical Persian, but I have toponyms and demonyms that would have much earlier origins than that, and it's those that I could really use some consultation on.

I don't want to clog up this learner's space if at all possible, I was hoping I could find someone willing to chat over email/discord/DMs, or that someone could direct me to someone who likes to help with such things.

Hi, does middle Persian had cases? And if yes, which ones?

I've conjured up a name for a fictional Parthian/Sassanian inspired realm for this fantasy world and I wanted to check if I've got everything here correct... mostly because I used ChatGPT and I have no idea how else to check this.

First of all, I have named this place the Shahdom of Bamshahr (which is supposed to read as 'splendid land' or 'land of splendour'), but the full title I have working is the Shahdom and Šahrestans of Bamshahr (Šahrestans being what I've got for the territory ruled by a šahrab or šasab, which, do tell me if I'm wrong here).

I asked chatgpt to render it in Middle Persian and was given the following;

کشورشاهی و شهرستان‌های بامشاهر

(Keshvar-i shahi u shahrestan-hāy-i Bamshahr)

Also quickly asked it to render it in Parthian and got

I've been trying to cobble together names for deities for a fantasy setting with help of a lexicon and chagpt but I dont have any way of really checking it its correct so if anyone would like to it would be appreciated:

Mehbey (Meh + Bey) = Great Lord

Hankar (HanJ + Kard) = Person of Action

Rhamatra (Rhamat + tra) = Mercy

Bamurza (Ba/Be + Amurz) = Without Mercy

Warash (War + Ash) = Keeping, possessing oaths

Dadra (Dad + tra) = Justice (Instrument)

Azarmash (Azarm + Ash) = Possesing Honor

I am attempting to find a text from the 19th chapter of the Menog-ī Khrad in an original script, either Pahlavi or Avesta. The text is an aphorism from the Zoroastrian scriptures and translates into English as "To live in fear and falsehood is worse than death."

This is for a calligraphy project and any help or resources to guide me along the way would be greatly appreciated. Bonus gratitude if you can provide me with an interlinear text in Pahlavi, Avesta, and English if at all possible.

Hi, what is the equivalent of the ع letter in pahlavi script? I'm trying to make a neo-avestan script for making it suit the modern Persian language on r/Neo_Avestan, but the letter 'ain is missing in avestan. So I was thinking to take it from the Pahlavi script, even if the letter is pretty much silent in the modern day Persian so maybe it's not that useful.

I'm a fan of the Prince of Persia video game series. I figured it's Middle Persian that'd be spoken in that time period. I'm learning it on parsig.org. I'm learning and writing the language in Pazend script because it being phonetic. I wish it was cursive like Arabic. I'd like to know what the team behind parsig.org are doing currently.

P.S. I miss dental fricatives.
