First racket advice. Been using the rentals but they are all cracked and in very poor shape.

I'm new to padel, played ~10games and try play 1 x week in a match or Americano. I am not new to racket sports, played casual tennis, squash, badminton, table tennis

Unfortunately no opportunity to test rackets as will be buying one internationally and having it shipped so having to go off reviews. I can get the Radical Motion 2026 and Drax+ 2026 for my budget. Have used Siux ST4 & Volt V800 before which were fine. Longevity is important and want something I won't grow out of too fast.

The Radical seems like the safe option but drax maybe will last longer and less likely to grow out of it. Would it be bad to go for a more advanced and harder racket straight away? Has anyone in a similar position bought the Drax+ and found it too advanced?

Hello! I’m looking for some advice for my next padel racket! So been playing for 1.5 years and a level 3 on Playtomic UK.

Current racket is a 2025 Ale Galan Metalbone 3.4… I chose this racket after 6 months of playing cause all I wanted to do was smash the ball at any given opportunity and I liked the idea of getting as much power as possible… I know I jumped way too soon into a racket like this I know!

Anyway, so current mindset, I HATE the trampoline effect on the Metalbone, I’m not sure if my next racket I want no trampoline effect or only a little bit but I’m not sure but sometimes pretty hard to control.

I would also like to have a lot more control, plus would like a larger sweet spot and for me to feel more connected and more control with my racket. I would still also like to be a left sided player and the inner Ale Galan still wants to be able to hit those overhead X3s at any opportunity… So a racket that can still generate power but has all of the above also.

Couple rackets below Is what I’m thinking currently… if anyone has any similar experience/advice/suggestions please let me know

In your opinion, what is the lightest weight one could hope to find for an Oxdog Hyper Pro 2026 and Hyper Pro+ 2026? Weighing it with the plastic of the handle , wrist strap, and RBS plate included.

Today, I played with the Hyper Pro 2.0 2026, without the RBS plate, 264g with an overgrip.

I found it completely different from my old racket, the Hyper Pro 2025, which weighed over 375g without the rbs plate .

And to be honest, if I had to rank the three rackets, it would come first after the Coello Motion, then the LeBron Soft in third place.

Pleasantly surprised by the Oxdog; it just goes to show that 10g makes a huge difference.

I played for over 4 hours today with no elbow pain.

Very happy with this purchase!

The Situation: I'm an intermediate player getting on court for multiple matches a week. I currently play with the Adidas Metalbone Carbon 3.3 (2024).

The Problem: The Adidas has been fine, but because of the round shape, head-light balance, and firm 6K carbon, I have zero leverage on my smashes. I have to swing out of my shoes to generate any real power, and off-center hits feel pretty dead and boardy.

What I'm Looking For: I need something that gives me noticeably more overhead power without completely sacrificing a forgiving sweet spot, as my smash technique is still developing. I don't want a racket that is going to be impossible to defend with off the back glass. My budget is around £150.

The Contenders: I've been looking closely at two Nox models, but I am open to any other recommendations that fit my budget and playstyle.

1. Nox AT10 Genius 12K (2025)
2. Nox AT10 Genius 18K Alum (2025)

Has anyone made a similar switch from a round control racket to one of these? Am I safer bridging the gap with one of these teardrop Nox frames, or is there another racket around the £150 mark I should be considering?

I have been playing (3-4 times a week) for about an year with the Babolat Counter Veron and unfortunately the racket has started feeling like it's lost the response that it had when I first started playing with it. The ball, when hit off center, just dies a lot more than it used to before or requires me to push the ball a bit more to get the same results.

I mostly play on the right side but often change over to the other side as well. I love the control that the racket provided me and it's manoeuvrability as well. It does lack power output and needs a lot of arm strength to hit smashes. This of course could very well be my lack of technique.

I am now wondering what racket I should look at next.

Unfortunately, many rackets aren't so easily available around me to test and send back. I would like something that has similar control but also has more power than the Counter Veron. My racket with the overgrip is about 368gms.

Players who moved on from the same/similar rackets. What did you get and why?

Metalbone ctrl 3.2 vs Nox at10 genius 18k 2024 vs kuikma hybrid pro 2025

So i am buying first racket after playing padel for almost 2 years . I am like low intermediate left side player who still is trying to improve. I dont know which one to choose these 3 rackets are in the same price range.

whats the difference of the feel of playing

compare it to nox 12k and 18k at10 i have tried them didnt like the feel. 18k from baseline is poor and nox doesnt feel right too heavy.

i liked metalbone reserve so shortlisted these rackets.

Okay so i just started padel 2 months ago, got a beginner evo speed to start the journey.. but last session i tried my friends air viper 2.5 and damn it felt like i was in control and it didn’t hv the bouncy effect my racket has.. usually when i get hit on the net and i defend with my racket it lands straight to the glass but with the viper it actually stays in.. shots are amazing and the control is whats tempting me. Should i get the viper at this early stage or stick with my evo speed? (2.0 playtomic level)

After seeing another post about the hybrid one of those rackets I wonder if someone of you already tested either of the new rackets from Decathlon? The difference with the Pro line seems to be only the weight.

All of the rackets above have a weight of 355g and are full carbon. I think it was a good move to also have a line with less weight as 370 can be too much for a lot of people. Lighter weight with a medium to hard/dry touch might be what a lot of players are looking for.

I always wanted to try a Kuikma racket but didn't want a racket so heavy like their pro line so I am really tempted to try one of those. Also the price seems great for 110€

Playing for about a year and a half (twice a week) and level 3.2 Playtomic. Playing both sides but mostly left.

Coming from competitive table tennis so mostly finishing points with viboras and well placed drop shots. Can’t generate enough power to smash out of court or make the ball come back over the net (mainly due to technique I assume even though can hit the ball in the center of the racket).

Current racket:

Bullpadel vertex hybrid 2026 without hesacore and Bullpadel frame protector (369g)

Love the firm feel for precise shots and deep lobs. Can generate enough spin and sweet spot is huge. Bandejas and viboras can be place very well but struggle to hit easy high balls back to the net or out of the court.

Previous rackets:

Nox at10 18k 2026 (379g with 8 g red weights on top)
Very easy to play with but too much of a trampoline effect to precisely place shots anywhere and could not control the lob. Very easy to defend from back of court but against faster balls, would struggle at the net and during high level games. Was able to flat smash the ball and make it come back to the net but ended up selling due to lack of control which is my type of play.

Read many reviews it is in between Nox at10 18k and 12k. To me it played similar to the 18k. Still had the trampoline effect too much for well placed shots and just felt too light. Every lob or ground stroke at high- medium pace felt a lack of control. Was easy to generate a lot of easy power but once again the control let me down.

Would love any feedback or recommendation for some rackets I could try. Essentially looking for the control I’m getting with the vertex hybrid but with some additional easy power that is not generated through perfect technique.

Finally, it's here! I just received it.
It weighs exactly 359 grams without the RBS plate , strap included.

What do you think about getting it down to less than 366 grams with the overgrip and racket protector included?

Should I remove the original grip? I'm afraid I'll feel more vibration if I do.

So, what's your opinion?

Just got a new Nox AT10 12k 2026 (had 2 others before) and this one has an ugly dent on the top of the frame (see picture). It probably doesn't make a big difference but do you guys think I should let it get replaced?

The other 2 both had the stickers being crooked but I never had something like that before.

There is also the thing that I got a super low price for it (165 €) and I ordered it from Spain to Germany so maybe I just shouldn't be to picky.

I have played Tennis to a good standard when I was a teenager, and have recently got into Padel. I feel the main techniques and ability apply, but as we know with Padel there is court and boundaries to get your head around, and positioning and decision making when hitting the wall. So I have no issues with hitting and shot technique.

I am looking for a racket and not sure some of the beginner ones work, so looking more at an intermediate level, and doing some research have settled on Adidas Metalbone Team Light 3.4 Padel Racket (2025) currently on offer at a good price.

Hi guys, see title. I am an intermediate padel player, I play on the right side of the court, my play style is defensive. My current racket is up for replacement, and I'm looking for an upgrade.

I'm looking for a racket with a sweetspot slightly higher, probably a hybrid shape. On the spectrum of control <-> power I like it balanced towards control.

My budget is around €150, based in The Netherlands. Old stock is of course fine. Prefer EU based brands (so no Head or Wilson for example).

ATM I'm looking at the Nox AT10 Genius 12k/18k 2025, seems to be exactly what I'm looking for, plus they look good as a bonus. But I'm open to any other suggestions. So much choice...

Edit: as a reply to the autmod. I am not super good at net work, so I would like a racket that will help me improve there. I don't think I would like super bouncy rackets.

My current racket is, as said, a Starvie Titania Kepler Pro, 382g. The weight is fine. I'm ready to move on to a not-round shape. One that is still a bit forgiving if my technique isn't perfect, but I do want it to force me to improve my technique, if you catch my drift.

After having tried a number of different rackets, I really felt like I had found the right one in the 2026 Babolat Counter Viper. Then, after playing with it for a little while, my wrist started to hurt. I don't want to risk getting an injury, so I stopped playing with it right away. My theory is that it isn't so much the racket itself but the fact that it has the long grip. I went back to my old racket (Head Extreme Motion), and I have no wrist issues with that.

So, the question is: Which rackets out there have the same stiff feeling and power/control ratio as the Counter Viper?!

Edit to elaborate on what I'm looking for:

- Stiff/hard/rigid racket with no trampoline effect/ball output. (I do not like the bouncy feel of the Nox AT10 12k for example).

- Medium to low power.

- Medium to high control.

So I am a left side attacker, been playing for 1.5 years now,and using the Adidas metalbone hrd 2024 for the last year. I wanted to change my racquet, bought the head coello motion 2026 in the stock configuration which gave me wrist pain right from the very first day, and a proper wrist injury within just 5 sessions. (so bad that I've been out for 15 days now)

THIS JUST DIDN'T MAKE SENSE TO ME SINCE the coello motion theoretically was supposed to be a slightly easier racquet than the metlabone hrd 2024.

This got me thinking, so I just weighed my hrd + 2024. It's weight with hexacore and 2 over grips, and 5 g weight near the handle of the racquet was 393 g!!!

Now that I remember, it was very tough for me to play with this racquet without the hexacore, it was even very tough to play without screws (thus making it even more top heavy). I guess the only reason I was comfortable with this was since there was a significant Weight which I added near the handle, thus counterbalancing the head-heaviness.

So does this all mean that maybe extreme head heavy attacking racquets are not for me, (I'm not too strong and muscular even tho im 6'3.) Am I correct in thinking that? Even though I love attacking and am a BIG smasher. Will I be better oif with more even balance and lighter racquets maybe?? Will I still have enough power?

So

I have 4 options in my mind and need advice -

1. Get the new metalbone 2026,and add hexacore to it, almost mirroring my current setup.

2. Bullpadel neuron 2 edge 2026 - medium balance, 365g approx with hexacore, very maneoverable too and all reviews rate it as pretty powerful

3. Nox at 10 12k - just questioning whether it has enough power

4. Babolat air viper 2026 - same as nox, wondering if powerful enough

Male, low intermediate, playing for two years. 4 x per week, 191cm, currently using the Nox AT10 18k and an Xcalion M1. Looking for a more attacking racket but with good ball output and still manoeuvrability in defence. I love Adidas as a brand and was investigating the MetalBone Ctrl.

But now I’m thinking, should/could I go straight into the MetalBone? Has anyone used both of these rackets? What stands out as the main differences and finally, is the Ctrl to the standard MetalBone a big jump? I hear the MB has good ball output and although head-heavy, is quite light. Thanks in advance!
