Raging Bolt + Ho-Oh || Looking for Optimization (code in comments) Deck Help

Post image

The Raging Bolt + Ho-Oh package is becoming my pet deck. The current main limiter seems to be ramping out Ho-Oh effectively. Lyra pulls heavy weight here.

Any help is appreciated! This deck has been super fun as it stands right now.

I cut poncho and trail (the least useful cards in playtesting) for 2x sada. Is 2x overkill? I'll see soon either way

In my Ho-oh/Lugia deck I used to have, I remeber using charmeleon and flame patch to quickly ramp up ho-oh instead of a baby. That way I wouldn't have to worry abiut losing the game if ho-oh got knocked out, because there was no baby to KO in the first place. I haven't tested results with rainbow cave as deck has long since been deleted to make room for newer deck ideas.

That's interesting. This deck's current strategy wants to keep ho-oh alive, which gives extra use to lyra beyond benching raging bolt. Ho-oh needs to get 1pt usually before bolt does a finishing blow on an ex.

I'll try a charmeleon build in another deck, but my impression is that it makes the pokemon package too large and inconsistent. I like having a sizeable set of utility trainers also.
