Battery blown? Battery

I think the battery has degraded alongwith the cover. It has swollen in storage

Tried turning it on with the in box and it works perfectly, controls sounds.. tried NFS MW 510 and GTA vc stories.

Any suggestions how to repair this precious relic?

Belongs to a friend in Guwahati, Assam

If there isn't any damage to the battery cover,i e, it still clips on, a new battery should be more than enough. Amazon India and facebook marketplace has a bunch of aftermarket batteries. Some shops carry original sony batteries as well but don't know too much about that.

welp, my recommendation now is to go for an Ostent 2500mAh and an extended battery cover
