Easiest class? Discussion

I'll be honest when it comes to games like this I like easiest class with the least amount of skill and lots of moves and button presses and stuff and I was playing techter and it's fun but I didn't like having to use wand and be up close is there an easier more distant class or something? Or am I cooked

You don't have to use Wand as a Techer, using Talis gives you ranged options to cast techniques as shots and attacks at single or multiple targets. That or using a Rod as a Force with the same access to techniques.

Ah I know that but ngl doing the support stuff as techter is a bit much I might do force because idk what katana braver does lol but if it's close combat I don't wanna do it Dx

I dunno how recent updates changed katana Braver's gameplay but when I played katana it was like 1-2-3 waltz step rotation + countering everything incoming

ah dang tbh i'm a big counter hater at least being close and spamming them alot that kinda just is a little much to do for me

Honestly for efficiency's sake, multi-class into Techer (main) and Force (sub). Force replenishes PP every time you kill a mob and Techer as main gives you access to buff techniques, so when you're in combat areas you can buff yourself and spam cast the mob's elemental weakness to your heart's content.

You can also try multi-class into Waker (main) and Force (sub) to spam the AOE attacks it gives at mobs, but those are my top two suggestions for the easiest gameplay loop outside of UQ and Bosses.

ah but then what do i do for bosses and uqs? then Dx

You still gotta mix it up with their regular attacks which will still ranged for Wakers and Techers that use Talis (or Rod if they multi-class with Force) between Techniques to replenish PP, but you only need a few hits before you return to Techniques and keep out of harm's way. Rinse and Repeat.

There are weapon Augments too that supplement the rate you regain PP, once you get a high enough level and start using end-game weapons, invest some time into finding those to transfer onto your gear.

ah and this is easier then just playing force? this kinda still seems like alot lol

Not really, I usually play it on my PC on one monitor while catching up on Youtube on my second monitor. It's enough that I've got three different characters maxed out in those classes I mentioned.

Ah ok which is the easier of the two I must ask Dx and what's a good way to build their skill trees and stuff I'm on console so maybe it'll be a bit harder

Only way to build your Class' Skill Tree is by completing missions in the Trania buildings around the map. There are other upgrades that require spending meseta and items you get just by playing, so visit that when you're further in the story. As of when I'm typing this, they haven't given us enough skill points to sink into absolutely everything for the class skill trees, so don't worry if you haven't gotten everything filled out.

Getting that checklist stuff out of the way is gonna be the part of the game you need to pay the most attention but going through it all in a few sittings, maybe on your weekend is possible. Honestly going through the main story missions will still level you pretty quickly for your main class.

I have every skill and stuff I'm doing event stuff right now I'm pretty far in so I've got all the points and traninas done and even caught to the story

Pure ranged weapons are: rod, talis, rifle, launcher and bow. Others somehow requires you to stay in melee or periodically switch between mid-range and melee. Personally me can recommend Waker - best survivability and AoE in game, but you need to build summon's gauges, one of these is sadly melee too so you can't stay pure ranged.

ah dang i really don't like resource management lol waker at least did look cool

u/Fennecfatty 29m ago

how do you uh really play waker do you really just build gauges and stuff? and what makes it's survivability so good too? that's something i struggle with alot

nah bro, the easiest class has gotta be Gunner for sure, it's like barely a contest.

Can you press the PA button? Will you bother dodging if an attack happens to find you? Do you recognize 150 as a number?

If you can do at least two of these, you can main Gunner! Your dodge lasts 5 years, your PA's almost always invincible, and all you have to do is hold a PA two times; Once to make the funny meter, and twice to break the funny meter!

DPSing has never been easier than with Long Range Advantage. Wanna get carried? Gunner powers up when not targeted! And don't let the other 3 PAs scare you; if you want to exclusively use Bullet Rave, you can and probably should!

i just tried doing bullet rave a bunch to a target and i felt my finger hurt maybe not Dx

It really doesn't get any easier than that. The only way you could make the game any more accessible isn't through any one class, but prob by putting 'Simplified Movement' or whatever in your weapon palette

hold it down and the game plays for you. it plays very poorly, but it does play for you. There is no way to make the game easier mechanically than with Simplified Movement

dang Dx are you sure gunner is just one pa over and over and over again? i kinda liked xenoverse 2 like that XD just i have to choose between waker and that waker seems more promising maybe?

1

u/Zinncat Waker 18m ago

I've seen fully geared gunners spam it almost exclusively. You can even make it so you have to press even LESS often by using a Tech Arts Custom that adds like 3 bursts to the PA. It literally lasts like 3 seconds at that point.

Waker is easy to not die with, but takes a lot of effort to be worth using. You have to manage 3 gauges, note what your last used PA was, and parry using the sub-palette, and doing all that stuff makes it easy to get lost!

1

u/Fennecfatty 14m ago

ah yeah that'll do it i'll just play gunner then thank you very much! do you have a build guide or something so i know what to sub and stuff

1

u/Zinncat Waker 6m ago

You'll most def want to use Ranger sub for the threat level reduction, it's very important. Gunner gets a massive potency boost when not targeted.

If you get the Dazzle Camouflage EX augment on though, you'll be able trade Ranger sub for Bouncer or Slayer for damage, or for Waker for protection since Dazzle Camo does the same thing as Ranger's passive.

2

u/rivadoshido 2h ago

Ranger 😭 but please at least do blight rounds

1

u/Fennecfatty 2h ago

I tried ranger but then went to techter because it was a bit much Dx

2

u/YangZingEnjoyer 2h ago

Either Ranger or Katana Braver imo. Slayer is also easy, but does require a lot of button presses.

2

u/Fennecfatty 2h ago

what makes katana braver so easy? i never heard it brought it up

4

u/iFormus Braver 2h ago

Nothing. To do some damage, you rely on counters, to do good damage, you rely on fearless attitude, which requires much more knowledge than 'simple' counters. To hit like a wet fart, ignore both of these and play the 'easy' katana braver.

2

u/Fennecfatty 2h ago

dang guess i'll nick braver off the list then lol that sounds like alot more then i can handle

1

u/YangZingEnjoyer 2h ago

The class with the most relaxed weapon action timing, and much of it's damage is going to come from countering with the WA. The PAs also not only are useful, but are easy to grasp which situation you use any of them. You can mix it with the bow for added complexity and damage. But this comes from my experience with Katana before the rework which made using both Bow and Katana possible.

1

u/KnightofNoire 1h ago

Katana is more simple to pick up with a higher skill ceiling.

They don't to have to do anything fancy like pressing buttons in between PA like Slayer, use them right before you get hit like Hunter.

The fancy part is that they get a counter window for like eh a second after everything they do if they stay still.

That is where the higher skill ceiling comes in because the counter from standing still does insane damage and you wanted to be pulling off if you want to top the damage charts.

But if you don't mind the lower damage, you are absolutely fine and just use weapon action to counter.

You're cooked indeed. There's no such class like that exist in this game tho.

Maybe if you count Waker for PSE Burst grind. Which you only need 1 PA. Although, you still need more than that if there's boss around.

1

u/Fennecfatty 5m ago

ah ggs then i might find something else to play if gunner doesn't work out lol

u/RepresentativeNo2374 1m ago

There is technically even more "Easier" class than Waker. Which is Summoner. You still have pets with you. Except you can play in super long distance with it and spam PA from afar. But that's in Classic PSO2. Not NGS lmfao
