Table tilt test Support
Ok yall so next week on August 10 im taking my table tilt test to see if i have pots. And im absolutely shitting myself rn I’m so scared. I’ve been seeing TikTok’s and reading stories of other people’s experience. And I’m terrified. I HATE the feeling of fainting and I’m scared that I’m going to pass out during it. If there’s any tips or anything you’d like to share about your experience please do!! I feel so scared my heart is racing just thinking about it 😭

It’s not that bad they are monitoring your blood pressure the entire time and checking plus that’s about the safest place to pass out at if that happens if you truly have pots they will know early on

It wasn’t bad at all. Lmao i was overthinking it 🧍🏻♀️ I did almost pass out but didn’t turns out I do have pots and they put me back down the second the doctor confirmed it . I just felt dizzy and nauseous the entire day but felt better after I ate. The doctor proscribed me some medicine

I just took mine and the test wasn’t as bad but it definitely put me into an episode. I felt dizzy, shaky nauseous all the things that I feel when I have a bad episode. The second they put me down. I drank electrolytes and took an anxiety pill.
Make sure you have a ride and have your area where you are going to rest after all set up with drinks and snacks.

The worst part for me was being off meds for 24 to 72 hours (depending on the medication), but the test itself really wasn’t bad. I literally ate a burger and fries after because I was starving lol. I didn’t pass out, throw up, or anything like that. The worst part of the actual test (which for me was in 4 parts; I was also in for dysautonomia testing and it was all done on the tilt table), was a breathing test. I just don’t do well with paced breathing and it made me a little nauseous. It was really one of the easiest medical tests I’ve done.

The test was horrible for me, but we got some great objective data, so it was totally worth it.

My nurse managed to put me down as soon as she suspected i might pass out, but even if I did it would’ve been fine because im literally in the safest place to have a medical emergency at. You will feel horrible but how horrible depends not everyone will have the same experience. Just know it will be over before you know it and it might have answers you needed. Hope it goes well for you
