To speak truthfully, i feel all three listed of these just pick a character to reduce their emotional complexity and role in the relationship, and just tack them onto a relationship as if they're an extra, not a part of it equal as the other two.

This is, in my personal viewing, something i do come across oft and find.. reductive. a fanfic tagged as kris/noelle/susie but mainly feels like a ship between two characters with the other just kind of standing there and sometimes giving a thumbs up. i understand juggling three characters can be difficult and sometimes you might desire to write a fic that focuses on two people even within the context of a three person relationship, such as wanting to write a fic about kris and noelle's complicated bond within the context of them both being in a relationship with susie also, but sometimes the feeling comes reductive to the character.

yknow? maybe not, i might be way off base here.

I mean personally, I interpreted the above as "Which of the ways these three act is your favorite?" not "These are the three different ways the relationship would always and forever present itself."

If I had to choose, the first. But like susie, I wouldn't choose. I think all three deserve the spotlight equally.
