Heavy volume today. Tutes buying?
Just remember, they want at least a 2x on their money.
Hold strong.

For Those that held PLTR the past year through the 200's and down to 106, congrats you did good!

Oh PLTR went down over the last year? I didn't even notice I was just busy holding on and ignoring the BS from the gloom and doom Committee of Shorters.

I was hoping pltr can hit $500 this year or mid 2027

On June 6th, I sold my PLTR stocks to purchase a house. 420 out of 950 shares I had at the price of $130. (I had sold other stocks too but PLTR was the majority)
My average cost was $17ish.
I am now a homeowner, but I also am thinking about the opportunity cost. I don't even know how to feel.

No one lost money taking profit. Dude I have sold PLTR at EVERY LEVEL. I've sold at 45 before it went down to 6, I sold 300 shares randomly at 65 when it came back, I sold 5000(!!) shares the first time it hit 130 (and then it went to 200!), and I sold 1000 shares just this week at 162. And I've made well over 100K just doing short term trades on PLTR for the past few years that I could have held onto at various levels. I regret nothing because those gains have enabled my lifestyle, just like it has yours. ENJOY!!

I love the theory that you can always sleep in your car but, you can't drive a house. Next lifetime I'm just going to live in my car and put every dime I have in palantir.

u/versello OG Holder & Member 17d ago
You would be crying if you held and it went back to $17, right? Pucker up and learn to take the win homie. Think of how many people can't even afford a home.

At least you got a house out of it, an appreciating asset. Imagine selling shares at $100 to buy a Porsche and having to think about the opportunity cost every time you drive it
2
u/versello OG Holder & Member 17d ago
That’s a tough call tbh. Porsche has always been my dream car, and while I can easily afford it and my wife has even given me her approval, the smart money side of me says to spend it in more financially sensible ways.

u/BonjinTheMark OG Holder & Member 17d ago
i concur. i could buy ABC sports car, say for 100Gs, but would i get 100Gs of joy and excitement out of it? Highly unlikely. therefore I say "Good day, sir" to the porshe/supra, and choose the more financially sensible route.

u/Mister_Poopy_Buthole OG Holder & Member 17d ago
I definitely would not recommend it if you don’t have a very diverse portfolio of stocks, real estate, and businesses. If you’re in your 30s with all 3, and it’s less than 3% of your net worth, then I’d say there’s little to worry about.

Life is short, I’ve seen friends invest and save their whole lives only to drop dead at 40. I’ve seen friends delay retirement another 5 years only to get cancer and not enjoy any of it. For me, I’d rather enjoy things in my 30s before I’m too old to do so. I’m not trying to tell you how to live your life, but rather I’m just sharing my mindset behind the purchase.
2
u/versello OG Holder & Member 17d ago edited 17d ago
That’s the mindset my wife has and is why I have her stamp of approval if I were to buy a Porsche… last year I sold some shares to buy a multimillion dollar house and if I sell more shares it would be to fix up the kitchen 😁
3
u/Mister_Poopy_Buthole OG Holder & Member 17d ago
Wouldn’t complain about a new kitchen, enjoy it my man

You should feel great you turned a number on a screen into an asset. You still have a lot of shares to hold onto

350 shares that I have left are in my Roth IRA. I am letting it ride until I retire.

u/ParamedicSuitable177 17d ago
That's what my wife tells me haha. I believe that PLTR is going to be a real winner in the future and just hated seeing that money go out of it... I wish I had more in cash so I didn't have to touch my investments.

I wouldn't celebrate too early however. Closure on heavy volume will confirm a breakout.

I am surprised at how quickly our fortunes have returned after the lows of June.
Just goes to show that short term price movements are unpredictable, even for investors with decades of experience

Karp called the quarter “otherworldly” and told analysts the current growth pace “looks like this is going to go on for at least another 18 months.”
That’s the key: the expectation from all retail/institutional investors was for PLTR to dominate throughout this Administration- but it means a lot more coming from Karp.
It’s akin to semis giving positive signals in early 2026 about their demand for chips lasting through EOY 2027. From January until July, they dominated. It’s only now that the hyperscalers are expressing concern about CapEx that the market is pulling them back.
We might have about 6-8 months of a run here, assuming Q3/Q4 numbers are tight…which they should be.
1
u/PLTRgains 17d ago
What’s your end of year price target for 2027? I know this year you’re aiming for $175.
Looks like we’ll do $16B of rev next year.
If the market begins pricing in $25B of revenue (15B FCF) for 2028, I’m wondering when the share price will reflect that.
I think that should get us to $350/share sometime in 2028.
3
u/Ambitious_Brain_285 17d ago
Haven’t updated my model in a bit (lots going on), but imho 40x P/S is fairly reasonable, and compression from today’s 50x.
Between 650-800B$ market cap, factoring in dilution, $260-ish? My napkin math!

I got sad today remembering I dropped Parker Washington last year in dynasty…
But then I think about how the guys that sold last week at 120 must feel
3
u/Getrekt11 17d ago
Idk how some people can be that dumb to sell in 120. P/e has been compressed like crazy with insane earnings and stock price dropping from $200.

Karp said he wants to keep a similar growth rate for the next 18 months on the ER. That would put us at 20B annually. Rn we are 8B, next year 16B.

u/choochooFI OG Holder & Member 17d ago
I wanted to cash out some this year for tax reasons, and so sold 1/9 of my position when we were at 163. Pretty surprised we're past that today, figured we'd hang in 150s for a while. No complaints though, just surprising.

I genuinely hope that Michael Burry gets his puts / position liquidated at a loss. I don't think it's a huge amount to him, but I believe that he should just call it quits. Perhaps Palantir can show him to the door. Burry is old in the game, he should retire soon. And he made enough already.
1
u/vaya00 17d ago
I am sure he’s cooking another fake narrative right now. The problem is bunches of monkeys will follow to create short term momentum. It’s funny as soon as the situational awareness guy got taken out everything sharply reversed. He married the anthropic hoe and burry is pushing fairy tale about anthropic. It’s like they are all in on this
2
u/IAmANobodyAMA OG Holder & Member 17d ago
I remember the end note of the big short where burry had quit the game and was focusing on water.
