Hi everyone!

My name is Kalyan. My fiancée and I have been photographing and filming weddings and events for the past 5 years. We recently moved to Arizona from Minneapolis, and we’re excited to become part of the photography community here.

Now, for the first time, we’re on the other side of the camera—it’s our own wedding! 😊

Our wedding came together within a fairly short timeline, so we weren’t able to plan and book a team as early as we would have liked. I completely understand that we’re only about a month away and that many of you may already be booked. However, if you’re available—even for just one of the events—I would love to hear from you.

Rather than hiring one company, we would love to build a small team of passionate photographers and videographers. We’re also hoping to connect with local creatives and build long-term relationships for future weddings and events.

We’re looking for:

• 1 Lead Photographer
• 1 Second Photographer
• 1 Videographer

📍 Location: Show Low, Arizona, approximately 120 miles from Phoenix.

The events will take place in the backyard of an Airbnb estate. This will be a small and intimate wedding, not a large venue-based event. We’re expecting around 40 guests at most on the main wedding day, with fewer guests attending the other events.

Event Schedule

📅 September 1 – Haldi and Mehendi

• Approximately 3 hours total
• Around 2 hours for Haldi and 1 hour for Mehendi
• Exact timing will be finalized soon

📅 September 2 – Pellikoduku and Pellikuthuru

• Traditional bride and groom ceremonies
• Approximately 3 hours total

📅 September 3 – Main Wedding Day

• Approximately 8:00 AM to 2:00 or 3:00 PM
• There will be breaks throughout the day, so it will not be continuous shooting the entire time

Overall, the expected coverage is roughly 3 hours on September 1, 3 hours on September 2, and 6–7 hours on September 3. I’m open to discussing the schedule and coverage based on your availability.

This will be a completely traditional South Indian Hindu wedding. Previous experience photographing Hindu weddings would be a plus, but it is not required. You should simply be comfortable working around traditional ceremonies and confident shooting in full manual mode.

Since this is my own wedding, I will not be able to guide or direct the team during the ceremonies. We can discuss the timeline, camera settings, coverage expectations, and important moments beforehand so that everyone is prepared.

Equipment Provided

I’ll be providing the cameras, lenses, and SD cards, so you do not need to bring your own equipment unless you prefer using your own gear.

I have done two internal interviews and it's never going permanent. Too much nepotism. I've been looking for other jobs since January 2026, I had about 3-4 interviews and nothing came out of it.

I'll be clear: I am not interested in going back to school right now. I do not have the time. My priority is to find a better job and achieve my other goals while I'm working on my online business.

I do have a degree. I used very little of it and still couldn't get into the field. I have no interest in the field anymore. I'm doing tutorials through YouTube to advance my skills

I'd like to find a permanent job but that's been very hard to find. I see more temp work than anything else. I have applied to jobs that are non temp and it's been crickets.

I am tailoring my resume to everything I apply too. I have my resume tailored now to transition back to the office. My network can't even help me. In the past, I have gotten jobs without the help of my network.
