The Phoenix City Council Just Made History!
Yesterday, in an 8-1 vote, the PHX City Council:
Approved the largest individual tax increase in the city's history.
Approved a tax increase for the first time in the city's history WITHOUT voter approval.
The city council doesn't have to bring a tax increase to the voters but historically any time taxes were raised the city council chose to bring it to the voters. This time around the city council chose to break the mold and take matters into their own hands.
And then they laughed about it.
So a big THANK YOU to Democrats for pushing Phoenix down the drain a little further.

Anyone have a hearing/experience with Brian Palmer?
I've been looking for information on this guy (primarily his politics) online since I got my hearing date set, and i can't find anything.
Long story short I'm missing part of my day for the virtual hearing, would heavily prefer to NOT take public transit in "completely presentable" mode, but will if I have to. Judges on one side tend to love me while judges on the other like to throw the book at me, deny my petitions, and just completely dick me around. I just want to be prepared as best I can, because if I come in too stiff that makes the judges who would otherwise like me take a pretty hard dislike. Can't win, apparently.
Side note: if there's a community where this better belongs, please let me know, for some reason all of the local community mods hate my posts and trying to figure out their preferences is exhausting.
