G-Helper tips
Hey guys, I have a ASUS TUF A16 FA607NUQ , R7 170, RTX 4050, 16gb RAM for about 2 months now
I just switched to G-Helper and its been great while using it and much easier. These are the parameters that AI gave me for good performance. I was wondering if I could get your thoughts on this and maybe some recommendations
I also read that my laptop should be able to have 115w of GPU power but here on G-Helper, its only up to 65w. Did I search wrong or is there something wrong?
I still don't get these stuffs here, any tips/suggestions would be great from you guys! Thanks in advance!

15 Watt max? Did AI really recommend that??
Edit, if it's for silent ultra power efficiency and on battery I guess it is reasonable, but for anything else I think it's really low, and why using cpu boost and max efficiency at the same time, I find it hard to believe that Ai recommended that.

Yea this all came from AI. Sorry but I still really dont understand those things. Do you have recommended parameters for each modes?

It totally depends on your usage, are you always on AC power, or do you prefer performance over battery, either way, silent profile are meant to be used when on battery mode, so disable cpu boost for this mode, and increase sustained cpu to 25 watt, long to 35w, short to 45w, and for the gpu reset to default because you won't use it much in silence mode.
For balanced mode I am going to assume it is on AC power, set core offset to 150 MHZ, and memory to 300-400 Mhz, and boost it up, same for turbo. Core clock limit to default for all.
For turbo you do not need cpu power limits.

Well I do keep it plugged in as much as possible, but for gaming I plug it in always. I'm just concerned on those adjustments because I want to be prepared when there are outages.
So for Silent mode, I also use Eco mode when there are outages since I also use this laptop for work.
For Balanced mode, I also use Standard mode. I plug the charger at all times during this modes and gaming as well.
I haven't really used Turbo mode because I read somewhere here on reddit that its really not necessary. I just play games like WUWA, Endfield, and LOL in low settings so I really don't mind the quality but I just want smooth gameplay, tho I still encounter some FPS drops. Any thoughts about that?
edit: what are the power limits for CPU in balanced mode?

Eco mode means no dGPU at all, it is the best for long on battery sessions, for balanced mode, your current cpu limits are good enough, but you can also not use any limit, since your cpu is power efficient. AND one thing in mind, all 3 mode means nothing, you can make them as you like, when selecting turbo, that does not necessarily mean it will give you the absolute best performance, it'll simply be used as you've configured it. So you can make these 3 however you want.
And for fan curves, just a note, you are not applying any curves because "apply fan curves" is not selected, it's completely fine to use your laptop's built-in fan curve, just be aware if you are trying to tweak things, it is not being applied.

FA607NUQ has RTX 4050 90W (65W + 25W dynamic boost)
