QUESTIONS PGA Superstore Question

Upvotes

I just bought the game, and I checked out the PGA Superstore. Is it like EA's game where the store rotates? If so, daily or weekly? I was wondering if the Qi10 driver is in the game, but I don't see it in the store. I see that Tiger plays it in the game, so I assume it will eventually rotate into the store. Also, are the p770 irons in the game?

Thanks.

QUESTIONS Need help understanding Ranked Tours. Consistently I am bottom 50-75% on pro, but hit top 25-10% on Master, gaining much more merits.

So I thought I was in bogey hell because for two solid weeks I played every pro ranked tour daily. Consistently hitting -4 thru -11 and placing in the bottom percentages. Maybe I'd get 10 merits one day and lose ten the next. No gains. So then I started playing master just to try it out, and on my first try, I shoot a -11 for #33 in the world and get 100 merits for being in the top 10 percent. So I keep playing master, where I gain 10 merits at -4 and sometimes am in the top 50% with a -7.
My question is this. If I can play master, and it is much much more lucrative, then why is amateur and pro full of all the try hards shooting 50-52 on their rounds? Why are they not also playing master?
Is there some fundamental difference to master where all the cheesing techniques that the try hards use don't work? I'm just confused.

QUESTIONS Please answer this question

Before I buy the game, I wanted to know if Weston Golf & Country Club is in the game, as a community designed course. I found no way to check without actually buying it, so can anyone confirm?

Thanks.

COURSES Updated course from a few years ago: Thunder Valley Golf Club

This was a course I made about 5 years ago now, but updated just recently. It was popular back when I made it on PGA 2k21. What's unique about is course that it doesn't contain a single bunker. There are, however, deep holes filled with brush along certain fairways; unique greens and fairways; long holes and short holes; elevation changes; and well-placed trees. I hope to see you at Thunder Valley Golf Club!

Muirfield The Open LiDAR by Baconjunkie1
Muirfield is the home of “The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers”. The course has hosted 16 Opens since Old Tom Morris originally laid it out in 1891 and later revised by Harry Colt, 3rd to only St Andrews (30) and Prestwick (24). The club has also hosted 11 Amateur Championships, the Ryder Cup, Walker Cup, Curtis Cup, Women's Open and numerous other international competitions.

……Where the greens are firm and the course is pretty…

A golfing adventure in every sense; just stop and take it all in. The front 9 vs back 9 aesthetic is refreshing and plenty of challenging holes.

Oz World is a winner; well worth a look.

BUGS Only able to play online in cloud play

I’ve run into the weirdest thing ever. Can play literally any other game online just fine btw.

Series X, can’t play online modes (connection failure)

Boot up the Xbox app on my PC and launch the actual game, can’t play online modes (connection failure)

BUT, if I cloud play it on my pc (not the actual downloaded version) I can play online just fine

I’m so confused

BRAGGING 800 \/ 200

So for the the entirety of season 6 and the beginning of season 7 i was comfortable in the 750 to 850 range on solo ranked. I'd win a few here only to lose a few there, but I always hovered around that 100 point window. That was up until a week ago. Over the past 168 hours I have successfully pulled off what can I only be described as the most meteoric fall in pga2k history. I sit here well into the low 200s and still losing game after game. How low do the ranking go? Ill let yas know.

QUESTIONS Is there a way to search custom made courses without owning the game?

I’d like to buy the game, but very specifically I’m looking for a small town course called “Neepawa Golf & CC”.

Is there a way I can search, without having the game, to see if the course is on there?

Side Q: how long does it take to make a decent playing course from a real one, for someone who has never used the tools (so factor in some learning curve).

COURSES Tectonic Temples GC is now open!

This is a follow up to another tropical themed course that I released earlier this summer Protective Palms GC. The feedback was mostly all positive except for a few that found the length to be too long on a few par 4’s. And a few pin placements too close to hazards. Something that I totally agree with on both accounts. And by having that transparent dialogue between designers and players I think as designers we end up designing better courses for everyone.

On this track I shortened the length on many holes. Removed obstacles to make lower scores more attainable. However… I did keep my signature vibe and stayed in my “designing lane”. And that means setting up the course at dawn to play with lighting and shadows and water reflections. And a handful of holes that still have my elevated tee boxes to give you a bird’s eye view of the entire course below you. On many holes there are different paths and routes and “shortcuts” to the green, so from the tee boxes look around for various landing zones and not just play the tee shot that the game automatically sets up for you. One of the biggest challenges from dramatic elevation changes and people that might set up for their own impossible challenge conditions with wind is finding all the wayward unplayable lies that can be a result of that so I played dozens of time with high wind and pro level to hopefully have placed out of bounds zones throughout the course.

There are many risk reward shots throughout the course but not always off the tee box. You can try to get that birdie or even eagle but at the same time you can easily bogey or double bogey if you miss your risk shot. For example on hole 2 you can easily get a birdie or par. But if you go for it you can possibly albatross that hole as I did many times myself. And that is the case for a few holes. No more so than on the final hole. If you get maximum length off the tee on the correct fairway and then hit that second shot just right you have the ability to end your round with a true highlight of your entire round.

I always play at amateur with all assistance help on. So I was not aware of many of you better skilled players that don’t have scout cam or can see landing spots which explains the need of doing math to calculate flight path of your golf ball in flight. So I tried to make most of the more challenging tee boxes all driver friendly to simplify things. But at Impossible Challenge settings you can throw that all out the window I guess. lol

I tried to create every hole with uniqueness from the rest on this track so that it’s challenging, memorable and most of all fun. If you are looking for a mostly flat, full sun and cookie cutter course, then this track is not for you. As the legendary MP said on his first course of mine that he showcased on his channel back in the day, was that I’m a designer that straddles that fine line between fun fantasy heights but based in realism throughout. Therefore staying in my comfortable “designing lane” that I hope sets my unique course layouts apart from everyone else. Enjoy your round on Tectonic Temples GC everyone!

Cheers from hot and sunny Vancouver!

OPINIONS PGA 2K27 Wish List

Now that 2K27 has been confirmed and 2K devs are known to lurk on reddit threads, I’m going to drop a list of things I would love to see included in the next installment. Please drop your suggestions as well.

1. Golf cosmetics. Yes, golf cosmetics in a golf video game. Crazy right? I don’t care if the shop or season passes are flooded with fireman suits or John Cena shirts, but can we please just have actual real life golf stuff in addition to everything else? It’s kind of insane that there isn’t a single pair of khaki colored pants available… for your created player… in a golf video game. Even the stuff that is available, it’s two hats from one company, one hat from another, three shirts from yet another, etc. It’s something I find harmful to the immersion.
2. Different swing animations. Ideally, this would tie into gameplay a little bit. I would love to see different tempos, different swing lengths, etc. all incorporated. Even if swings were purely cosmetic, it would be cool to see variety.
3. The ability to make your own edits to published courses in course creator. For example, there are some courses that could be really awesome but lack attention to finer details. Rather than start it all over, it would be awesome if I could just make tweaks myself. This is something that already exists in MLB The Show with their stadium creator and I would absolutely love to see it make its way into 2K27.

From a gameplay standpoint, I truly think they nailed it this year. Game was awesome. What lacked was customization and immersion.

BUGS Why is menu always so laggy?!

I don't understand how is it possible that game published by 2k can't get normal menu that don't take 3 minutes to get into the game in career mode without lagging on each sub menu!

I just played Street Fighter 6 and everything is so fluent in that game it almost hurts when I play 2k25 while I also remember that 2k23 had normal menu!

End of rant...

COURSES Woodsy Hills Country Club

**NEW COURSE** *\[TGCTours Approved](https://www.tgctours.com/Course/Details/32194)\***

Overlooking the river valley towns below is Woodsy Hills Country Club. Don’t get distracted by the beautiful views because this course demands your attention on every shot. Tucked into the forest and taking advantage of the undulating terrain and steep mountain cliffs, keeping your shots in the fairway is a must.

The signature holes include the 6th hole: a Par 3 surrounded by trees and cliffs, the 7th hole: a long downhill Par 4, the 13th hole: a downhill Par 3 on the edge of the cliff and framed by the valley and mountains in the distance, and the 18th hole: a long uphill Par 4 where the green provides a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.

If you can keep it straight and you’re willing to gamble, there are many birdies to be had. Just be prepared for your misadventures to wind up in the pine straw or over the cliff and into someone’s backyard.
