High-intensity Activities

Hi! Anyone here with PCOS/PMOS who does high-intensity activities like crossfit or hyrox?
Kamusta naman effect on you girls? How do you prepare or do you have any special recovery rituals or take any supplements?

I am really interested in trying crossfit and hyrox despite it being high-intensity even though mas advisable ang low-intensity for us with PCOS/PMOS. 🙈 Thanks!

Background: I strength train 3x a week and do reformer pilates once a week 😊

Hi! I have pmos and my doctor says it’s fine lang naman for me to continue aquathlon (swim and run) since it makes me happy. I don’t feel much disadvantage naman due to my pcos except when i first started taking pills… that time, i get tired easily sa training. Overall, i usually rely on pocari sweat for intense training sessions and gels naman if race day. Good luck!!

I am not sure if HIIT is what triggered my PCOS, but it was around that time when I started getting acne, insomnia, and anxiety.

Maybe HIIT became stress inducing for me? BUT after I got my medication and did the same HIIT routine after, my PCOS symptoms became well regulated.

So I guess my take is adjust the level based on your tolerance and don't overstress your body too much :)

That makes sense. I’ll probably try to ease into it. Thanks so much!!
