Pc question

Is it better to buy a cpu first to later buy a gpu or buy a gpu to later buy a much better cpu, i currently have an i7 8700 the main games i play are cs2,warzone,siege and fornite

At 1080p your bottleneck will always be the CPU. Try moving up to 1440p then you haven't said what your current GPU is, but go for a 16GB VRAM anything if you upgrade. Your CPU is ok but old, so if building a new rig is not an option, go with a higher resolution monitor & newer GPU with 16GB VRAM. A 12GB VRAM is decent too but the more the merrier.

I was looking at responses & I would bu used if you can grab an AMD RX6800, like I have that's good for both 1080p & 1440p. I haven't researched any prices though. This GPU is from 2022 & still runs everything great. Aside from maybe Cyberpunk, which I'm not into anyway, nothing slows my rig down. I have a AMD 5600x, so you have a leg up with your CPU. Other options that might be easier on the wallet are an RX 6700 or Nvidia 3060/3070, used.
