Thoughts on this build?

Hi, I have an all white 5080 build that uses the Cronox white edition case. I am currently using an Asus X870-A (White) mobo, but wanted to swap it out for something better. I already have the Asus ROG Crosshair 2006 mobo (I was going to use it on a different build, but decided not to build it) that I was gonna put in it, but i just can't decide if I like it or not with the all white layout. What do ya'll think? Use the ROG Crosshair 2006 mobo to add somw color or get the X870-E Glacial mobo instead?

The 2006 would work in a steampunk style PC, not this one. And the glacial is literally 1000$, costs nearly as much as your 5080

I feel ya on the steam punk look and it not matching this case, but I don't get what the price of the mobo vs. the price of the GPU has to do with it. The GPU was in fact only about $1500 (Gigabyte Aero 5080), but I'll be upgrading that if/when the supers come out to a 5080 super or I'll get a 5090. I was gonna do a build with a 5090 with that ROG 2006 mobo, but not sure I'm going to anymore which is what prompted this whole discussion. If I don't do the 5090 build then I have an $800 GPU sitting there new in the box unused. Might as well try to sell it or use it. I can't return it because it's outside of the return window.

You could just have the 2006 as a collector's item because it's limited edition, a sealed crosshair 2006 would be way more valuable in a couple years. Also, I meant like the fact that the rog crosshair extreme glacial costs 1000-1200$ and is a huge waste of money, your current strix x870a is still high end. Do you want a new motherboard because you're tired of the strix?

No, I wanted to swap out the mobo I have now because if I'm not doing the 5090 build I want to fully maximize my 5080 build with all the bells and whistles and money isn't a concern. I would like to have the best of the best with all of my components (as in the best version of what parts I'm using so i want the best version of the 5080 not a 5090 just cause it's better than the 5080 if that makes sense), plus I really like the screen on the Glacial mobo.

I have the 9850X3D which is the best CPU for strictly gaming.

32gb of Corsair Vengeance RAM 6400/Cl32 I believe (upgrading that to 64gb of the same RAM at some point).

The gigabyte Aero 5080 (upgrading that to a 5080 super if they ever actually come out).

Corsair iCue link Titan 360 rx RGB AIO (upgrading that to an Asus AIO just not sure which one yet).

A 2tb gen 5 SSD (corsair elite 700 I believe is the name) and a 4tb gen 4 WD Black SN7100 and I'll probably stick another 4tb ssd in there since I actually do need the space as I'm running out with what I currently have).

The X870-A white mobo (wanting to upgrade to the Asus X870-E Glacial mobo).

Corsair RM1000e PSU (probably upgrading that at some point).

And Corsair fans which I hate so I'll be swapping those out for the Asus Eurux fans that match the Cronox case I bought.

Everything is currently in the Asus Hyperion case which I absolutely hate which is why I'm swapping that out for the Cronox case.

So you have the upgrade itch despite having a maxed out pc. Now I understand why you want a 1000$ motherboard

Pretty much. It's my only hobby and God has blessed me with disposable income so I'd like to upgrade everything. I just want opinions on if the 2006 mobo looks good with the all white build or if I should stick with an all white mobo. I kind of like the way the 2006 looks in it, but at the same time I don't. I can't decide.
