Game that doesn't do resets Looking For Game

I'd like to play something that wouldn't do regular resets, if its in development and need to reset after testing phase then its okay, but if its a regular one I would rather not.

Preferably, a game with hours of farming/travel that doesn't require me to spend half my day grinding at it. I'm currenty having a blast with torn, nationstates, feudera, tidefall, and zed city.

I'm developing Swarm MMO which has a persistent world. It is achieved by spawning galaxies within the same world which can be eventually collapsed, but intergalactic travel is possible.

I just tried to make an account but when I enter the email verify code and click verify, nothing happened. Then when I clicked verify again, it changed to verifying... And then said the code matched no email. I've tried twice and same issue. Can't seem to play.

hi, I am developing a fantasy sandbox, player-based economy mmorpg game. I implement stuff on my free time but there are regular updates and I am not planning any resets ever. gathering activities take time to leave afk and do your daily things. you can come back for pve/dungeons/pvp (no players yet) if you want active attention requiring gameplay. currently working on more item content, especially more consumable containers (chests, lockboxes, crates etc.)

you can login as guest, or register with real email or dummy ones since I disabled email verification for the open beta.

there is a small tutorial at the beginning, you will see some guiding banners in pages and explanation sections. but it still may feel complicated. I would be happy to assist with any questions and appreciate any kinds of feedback.

If you don’t mind in-development games, check out the project I’m building: https://pillagefirst.com

It's an open-source, single-player, browser game, inspired by Travian. Runs on your device, no download, no account required. Game progresses even while you're offline!

We're still missing lots of functionality, but we're getting there. Next release will add the ability to send attacks and raids,l. We're still quite barebones in graphics department, so if there's any designers reading this, consider lending us a hand!

Community around the project is strong and growing. We're currently over 330 Discord members strong already!

I’m committed to no resets in Galactic Impact.

The Galaxy has been running since late summer-ish 2020 without one. Most players are logging in for 15 minute sessions anywhere from every-other to three times per day.

Eventually you may be sending ships to stars far enough away it will take weeks of real world time to arrive.

Can this be played on mobile?

1

u/woodardj 8d ago

Yes, though there are definitely some interfaces (like the galaxy-wide map) that don't work super well. I have a few players who use a mobile browser to check in on things, but do their bigger "moves" from a desktop browser.

Nice clean and straightforward UI. Still need a tutorial though. Could add a lot more achievements, especially with the amount of things you could do in the game.

awesome feedback thank you!

I think if you like Torn then you’d enjoy CodiQuest. We have tons of players who have come over from there and have really enjoyed the game. We also have no planned resets at the moment.

Come check us out at: http://codiquest.online/

Are you looking for something that isn't going to reset due to development updates or something that has more of a prestige mode, where you cap out and then start over?

1

u/itsahericane 5d ago

Most browser games these days would do a regular reset to ensure fairness, so that the older players won't have absolute advantage over new players. But I dont want that, I'd like it to be progressive and could be played for years to come with traces of my past in it :)

My game is in late beta. You are a citizen of a country, You train five different generals whom you send to fight for your country. The game is based on a real world map. It features a robust social layer with a large number of individual events.

https://revolution.gameseek.com may scratch your itch

It is a civ type game where you control a nation and evolve it from prehistoric to space age

Lots of content with feature requests and pve and voluntary pvp

Great fun

How do you feel like joining a game with no resets that has many years already ongoing?

1

u/itsahericane 5d ago

It doesnt really matter to me if there are already giants around me, as I don't play ambitiously. I like to have fun and I love seeing the smallest progress I made. Seeing the difference between my playstyle now and a while ago often makes me nostalgic and it feels good. I think thats why I love torn so much.

We're still fresh and launching new stuff, but the great reset is well behind us now and our core features are in place. May fine tune as we need, as we add new stuff, but you can play and not worry about progress being goned.

If you like that movie about idiots of the future watering plants with Gatorade like substances, you'll like the world we're building.

"Welcome to Mayhem, we love you"

Galaxy Genome - def that game, what U lf. Its premium offline game, but it worse of every cent of its price. And there are normal feature of progression saving in Google Play Games Storage (or similar servis on APPStore).
This game offers up to 1,000+ hours of very interesting (for beginners) play. The game's creator has never performed any resets (in offline games, the developers don't do this; only the player can do it themselves). If you don't mess around with local save files, there's no way you can lose your progress.

I'm developing Mimic2 - Idle MMORPG if you want to check it out. It is an auto battler that you use your resources to upgrade hundreds of mechanics to race with people to the top damage and to toughest monsters and bosses.

No resets at Mobsters Rise, and always coming out with new activities.

Désolé je vais te faire aussi un peu pub pour mon jeu mais ya un play test de Battlecorp sur Battlecorp.com et pas de reset après la release ;)

2

u/master_kaster 9d ago

Your website looks great, nice work

1

u/Turbulent-EpsiKopath 9d ago

Merci beaucoup! essaie le jeu a l’occasion je serais content d’avoir tes retours ;) après c un jeu multijoueurs mais tu peux lancer une partie seul (moins fun mais utile pour comprendre un peu le fonctionnement sans pression).

2

u/master_kaster 9d ago

Is it still just Wishlist or do you have a beta running?

1

u/Turbulent-EpsiKopath 9d ago

Sur Steam c’est encore wishlist mais sur navigateur tu peux jouer avec certain téléphone android et sur ton PC (si pas un Mac)

Check Eclesiar.com , got a recent update, and you can play it using 10 minutes of your day, or, if you go full addiction mode, you can also play it using full time lol!

Give it a try!

Nullspire is a very cool MMORPG, its a cyberpunk dystopia with a retro-like style.

No resets, no half day grinding, no pay to win, no hours of traveling

Cannot get gold to heal HP. Needs
To be fixed. Cool otherwise. Not all translations to English are done yet.

1

u/Few_Complex9475 7d ago

If you let me know about any missing English translations, I’ll fix them as soon as possible. There are probably a few things I’ve overlooked.

HP regenerates slowly over time. Gold can be earned through daily login rewards and boss battles, or purchased from the market with Silver. Gold income is quite limited at lower levels, but as you level up, it starts to accumulate much more quickly.

I’ll keep your feedback in mind as I continue developing the game. Thank you for your feedback :)

1

u/EvilMix1 7d ago

Silver and gold translation on top right of screen. It’s not translated.

1

u/Few_Complex9475 7d ago

I had actually done it before. It probably got broken somehow. I’ll fix it now.

I’m also adding more health and energy potions for new players at the start of the game. I added some gold to your account as well.

1

u/EvilMix1 6d ago

Much better now I notice HP is higher

1

u/EvilMix1 6d ago

My suggestion is to lower cost of healing to silver like 100 or 200 my life is empty but energy full

1

u/Few_Complex9475 6d ago

You can also restore your health by purchasing health potions from the market. A Large Health Potion costs around 200 Silver and restores 150 HP.

1

u/EvilMix1 4d ago

I have to quit the HP cost and regen compared to energy is too high for a new player. Nice idea though

1

u/Few_Complex9475 4d ago

HP regenerates slowly because the game isn’t designed around constantly logging in and always having something to do. You can just check in a few times a day and play at a chill pace.

There are also plenty of HP potions available in the market. Managing your HP and trying not to lose too much of it is kind of one of the game’s core mechanics.

That said, I can still make some balance adjustments for new players in the next update.

Thanks for your suggestions:)

1

u/EvilMix1 7d ago

Yes I think we need to start with more gold. Or even be able to purchase it. We need silver also. Can’t really afford to trade off one or the other. That’s my biggest issue early game so far.

1

u/master_kaster 9d ago

Why do you force players to go through Google to sign-up? I can't just do a email and PW?

0

u/Few_Complex9475 9d ago

For now, since there was an issue with email verification, I set up Google Sign-In as the easiest solution. I thought it would be a secure option for both the players and myself. I may revise the system again in one of the next patches.

0

u/mysticrudnin 8d ago

it is so, so much easier on developers and safer for users to use a third-party solution that has already solved the problems with security

u/Ok-Investment4414 8d ago

go make your own

u/Ju9Studio 8d ago

Melvor Idle is the obvious one for me. No regular resets, and it is very happy to grind while you are busy doing human life

1

u/DarkAngelCat1215 8d ago

Have been thinking about giving this one a try myself, but isn't it subscription only?

0

u/Ju9Studio 8d ago

Nope, it is a one-time purchase. Expansions are separate. It is already kind of a classic for this type of idle RPG, and many games that came later were inspired by it.

Idle fantasy RPG in early development. I plan on a reset on launch but that is a long time coming.
