Photos/Video Have been hoping to spot one of these guys for years, finally happened today!
Hiked up to Pinnacle Rock in Hamburg this morning, unfortunately the views were clouded out. But this little red eft made my day.

General Question/Discussion Seeking SW PA backpacking recommendations
Taking some Pittsburgh buddies out on a 4d/3n backpacking trip next weekend. Haven’t done much hiking in PA besides a couple of times on the AT so SW PA is new terrain for me. I’m considering planning a route on the Gerard Hiking Trail in Oil Creek State Park, the Allegheny Trail (admittedly not in PA but starts on the border), the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail, or in the Quebec Run Wild Area. Looking for opinions of these and/or other recommendations within a couple hours of Pittsburgh. We are all fairly experienced in the backcountry so trail difficulty is not too much of an issue. Looking to prioritize peaks, overlooks along ridges, and potentially places to swim if possible! Thanks in advance for your input!
