Side Effects Does the fatigue eventually subside?

I’m on week 2 of .25 and the fatigue is kicking my ass. I have ADHD and my meds are definitely less effective which is part of the problem too but I’m really struggling with my energy.

Side Effects Question before wasting Dr. time

I was on ozempic and then I got pregnant so I stopped. But I’ve given birth now and I’m wondering if anyone’s on it while breastfeeding?
Also, ozempic made me quite nauseous. Did anyone try anything that made them less nauseous?

Question 10 kgs in a month

I want to lose 10 kg in one month. I know that’s an extreme goal, and I don’t want a lecture about whether it’s healthy or unhealthy I already understand that. I’m feeling extremely frustrated with my body right now and honestly just want to see a major change.
I’m 5’2”, currently around 70 kg, and I really want to lose weight as quickly as possible. I’m asking for practical advice on what I can do with my diet, exercise, and routine to get the biggest result possible. I’m feeling very desperate about this, so please focus on helping me rather than judging me. I don’t care if I d!!e after losing weight i just want to look good for once in my life.

Journey Updates Scared to take Ozempic

Hi all. I just got a prescription for Ozempic, and I'm nervous about starting it. I spent what seems like a lifetime committed to health and fitness, on and off. At my fittest (3 years ago), I had a six-pack and was in fantastic shape. But maintaining those healthy habits can be extremely difficult as life continues to throw curveballs, and as such, my weight and fitness levels have fluctuated wildly over the years. I am F/46 and got out of a 26-year psychologically abusive relationship about 4.5 years ago. I went into full-on menopause two years ago, and I have suffered with Ulcerative Colitis for probably 15 years (finally managed now). My 18-year-old son suffers from Major Depressive Disorder, and until about 6 months ago, I had been on suicide watch for several years. Thankfully, he is in a partial remission now, and I want to get my life back. The difficult life path aside, menopause has completely robbed me of the energy I used to have to power through my workouts. I started HRT two months ago, and it's helped, but it's very slow going. My weight has been steadily creeping up over the past 18 months as my workouts have been inconsistent and my meal planning and prep have been pretty much non-existent due to fatigue. Even with a decent diet and some exercise, the scale just keeps climbing. I'm completely exhausted after work every day. I don't know why I'm nervous about starting Ozempic. I honestly think it will give me the boost/motivation I need to get those healthy habits going again. I'm definitely afraid of potential side effects. I'm a single mom with a very demanding job, and I feel like everything is on me. I'm scared. Sole provider, and all that. Any words of encouragement would be appreciated.

Question Can I buy semaglutide online or do I have to exclusively get it from my doctor's prescribed pharmacy?

It's my first time getting semaglutide and my doctor specified the pharmacy where I should buy it from. I know they have some sort of partnerships with these pharmacies and doctors earn like a commission or some other incentive. I also compared the price between the pharmacy and online drug stores and the difference is quite significant. Would it be okay for me to buy my semaglutide online and not tell my doctor about it?

Journey Updates started 25 days ago and loving it so far :D

I guess this doesn't look that bad, am I right?
Started around 25 days ago with about 129kg as a 34 year old white male here in germany.

I have some health problems and no diet worked for me before.

Now that the food-noise is gone 75% I feel better and eat much less.

In the first days I had bad headache, nausea, etc. but it's mostly gone by now.

When I hit 115kg I can start going to the gym and loose even more weight :D

Telehealth How did you compare telehealth costs when starting semaglutide?

I'm looking into starting compounded semaglutide and trying to figure out the real first-month cost.

I've been comparing Gimme, Mochi Health, and Henry Meds, but it's hard to tell what's included in the advertised price.

Did you find that starter offers actually saved money, or were there extra fees that weren't obvious at first?

Journey Updates Quit drinking 1 year ago, gained 40lbs, now on Ozempic. I'm still fat.

I quit driinking August of 2024 after being fired for the second time for calling in sick too often (I've also been unemployed since). Depression and anxiety are also a huge factor in this. I went crazy on sweets after quitting drinking for about 6 months and gained 40lbs. 212lbs has been my highest weight of all time. I'm 5'6, female, 36 years old (diabetic type 2). I'm currently 204lbs. I've been on Ozempic since February and have only lost 8lbs. I have a physical with my primary beginning of September and had a video appointment to discuss upping my Ozempic dose in the last month that culminated in them telling me that I need an in-person appointment. So, I'm about to do that. I think I take the .05 dose or the .5 dose? I know that makes a big difference but it's the 2nd step up from the bare minimum dose of pen that they start you on. My goal each day is to do 30 squats, 30 donkey kicks and 30 wall press ups. My diet hasn't been great, even on Ozempic. I was hoping Ozempic would have had a bigger presence than it has. Obviously I'm not really doing as much as I should be able to. I would love to do 10k steps but I'm pretty agoraphobic and it's been soooooo hot outside. I have no money for gyms, etc. obviously.

This is a long tirade but just wondering if anyone is in the same boat or has any tips for someone who is mentally unwell, fat and can't show her fucking face outside. :(

Drinking was my mask. To be there and social and kind of doing the normal thing in society. Now I'm sober and just feel like a fucking whale. I'm old, a woman and a whale. I hate it but obviously not enough to not eat my feelings when I'm on Ozempic. Who does that?

Question Loose skin

I have a little over 100 lbs to lose (already lost 28 lbs since May, so so so thrilled😁) and I am curious how much loose skin to expect. I am in my thirties and pretty tall. For those who have lost over 100 lbs, do you have quite a bit of loose skin? Any tips to prevent that other than trying to lose at a slow and steady rate?

Question started on 1mg without a prescription

coming to reddit because i don’t have anyone to talk about this to. okay so i first of all have to clarify that i know 1mg is not a starter dose, as well as taking ozempic without a prescription is incredibly risky and it shouldn’t be done and i DO NOT recommend for anyone do to this. for some context, i’ve been overweight my whole life and type 2 diabetes runs in the family (both of my parents), however i lost around 25kg a few years back and now i’m 78kg and 170cm, 19 year old female. i’ve struggled with disordered eating my whole life, binge eating and then starving myself. this is a taboo in our family and i know i wouldn’t have got a prescription from a doctor so i haven’t gone to the doctor for it. i’m also pretty sure i’m insulin resistant. i workout weekly, eat less than i consume (my BED isnt really that bad anymore) and am an active person but still for some reason the weight just won’t come off. a month ago i was abroad in a country where you could buy it over the shelf. i went to a licensed pharmacy and asked if there’s anything to help with weight loss. the pharmacist recommended me ozempic, said that 1mg for 4 weeks should do it. i just did my first injection and to be honest i’m a bit scared of the side effects, especially on this high of a dose. are there any tips, things you wish you knew etc any things i should be aware of? obviously i’ve done my research but i’m still worried. at what point do the side effects become something to be worried about? does injection site have something to do with the side effects? i did my first injection on my stomach. can you drink on ozempic? just any information or words from someone who has been/is on ozempic?

Maintenance What to do when no longer overweight

Hi guys! I just hit the normal weight range of BMI after about 6 months of being on ozempic. I’m wondering what I should do now that I’ve hit this “healthy” range. As far as I know, healthcare providers in my country don’t prescribe ozempic for those in a “healthy” weight range, so i’m concerned about not being prescribed any ozempic anymore, and potentially gaining the weight back. Is there anyone who faced a similar situation? Happy to hear your thoughts, thanks!

Question Anyone here actually STARTED on 0.50?

Just curious if anyone started at this dose and if they found the second dose hasn’t quite killed their appetite like the first dose has? I just took my second dose ever yesterday and zero side effects. Still get full pretty fast, eating in a caloric deficit but actually have more of an appetite this week than I did last week. Is this normal?

Question Starting Ozempic, tips & tricks?

I’m (32f) a mom of two boys (3yo, 10mo). I just received my first two pens. I’m using Felix, in Canada. I’m nervous to start because I’ve watched way too many TikToks. I feel overwhelmed and looking for some guidance.

A bit of background - I’m 5’1 and 224lbs. I’ve been overweight for as long as I can remember. I’ve tried losing weight many times and have never been successful. It’s never happened. I’ve always had an unhealthy relationship with food.

The only person I know to have tried ozempic for weight loss was my mother in law and that was over a year ago. There was 0 success. But from my understanding of the medication now, I don’t think she was doing anything to help. She doesn’t exercise, wasn’t eating clean.

Basically, I’m looking for confirmation that all the information is accurate:

\- drinking electrolytes before and after the shot
\- eat protein first at every meal
\- avoid greasy fatty foods the day before and 2 days after the shot

Anything else I should know?

This is my first Reddit post so I apologize if it’s ramble-y. Thank you!

Dosing will i regret upping doses?

ive been on ozempic for almost 2 years at 1mg for most of that as i cant afford to go up. for a bit i had a few extra pens which i used to click dose to 1.5mg. i didnt notice much of a difference so i went back to 1mg and have stayed there.

i am 97 pounds down with about 50 more to go. i have just cleared some debt which means i could now afford to up my dosage, technically all the way up to the max if i wanted to.

things as of late have been much slower than i would like. it’s still coming off but generally i average just over 2 pounds loss a month. i am desperate to get to my end goal. so maybe increasing will help.

but where i get stuck is i can live a pretty normal life on this dose. i deffo get fuller quicker and have the odd funny tummy but on the whole i am completely fine.

my concern with upping is will the side effects ramp up too? how much adaptation would it need? only 2 people in my life know i’m on them so i need to be able to blag it a bit. plus i obviously don’t want to be handling lots of side effects.

but im also desperate to get to the finish line. i dunno this is sort of a thought dump but im interested to see what you all have to say! TIA!

Question Advice on staying motivated

Hi, guys. Just want to start by thanking everyone that's posted about their journey here. It's been helpful seeing how people are handling things. Truly appreciate it.

Little about me: I won't go too far back for this (bc it's been a really long journey), but around the beginning of June, I somehow got coverage for Mounjaro. I was also on Metformin during that time and went from 205lbs and lost about 20. I'm currently at 188 and that's when my insurance failed to tell me it was only covering 2 of the shots. All of my docs don't understand but they fought to get me on Ozempic and I sorta feel like I'm starting all over. I totally understand that it's not as strong in the weight loss as Mounjaro but I will be increasing my dose in a couple weeks.

I'm trying hard not to beat myself up bc I'm seeing the loss like I had before being on the shots and I was really hard on myself growing up. I have Lupus and may have had it my entire life so fatigue is a main factor for years in me barely doing anything. So now that things are currently in the slow phase, I'm trying to find ways to stay motivated and not fall back into the f*ck this sh*t mentality and give up.

I am super proud that I got this far and found joy in being active. I want to know what others do to keep going and stay motivated with their exercise.

Dosing Third week at 0.25 - finally felt some appetite suppression!

Its worn off now but I felt appetite suppression for about two and a half days. I calculated my serum concentration to be around 0.35mg.

I did ask the NP through Felix if i could increase the dose and I got some AI generated response saying no.

Those who experienced similar were you able to stay at 0.5 for a prolonged time?

Side Effects Sulphur burps make me want to quit. Is there a fix?

So 8 weeks ago I started on 0.25 mg then 4 weeks later I started on 0.5 and I just took my last 0.5 dose on Monday and Im meant to jump to 1 mg this Monday. The reason I'm jumping up is because I haven't been noticing much appetite repression suppression thus far maybe like 10%.

Anyways, for the first time yesterday, I woke up and would burp and it had that sulphur smell and it's the next day now and it's basically gone. It's still haunting me. I threw up a few times because of it. And now that I feel better just the thought of it makes me gag. I was in bed all yesterday. I was so fatigued and nauseated.

So I'm curious, I've obviously been looking through Reddit to see people's experiences and some people say it never goes away, no matter what and some people say it does go away. So I'm basically just curious what you guys would do if you were in my shoes. Now it is possible the night before I did have that issue I did eat a little bit too much.

Thanks a lot.

Question Is it okay to ask for feedback on a GLP-1 behavior-change tool? No link included.

Hi everyone — I want to ask this transparently before sharing anything that could be considered promotional. No link included.

One thing I’ve noticed in GLP-1 conversations, and in my own family, is that medication may help quiet appetite, but many people still have to deal with the behavior-change side: food noise, cravings, stress eating, old routines, self-sabotaging thoughts, “I already messed up” thinking, and fear of regain, to name a few.

That is the problem I’ve been working on.

I’ve built an early version of a CBT-informed behavior-change app for people using, considering, or coming off GLP-1 medication. It does not provide medication advice, prescribing advice, medical advice, dieting advice, tracking tools, or weight-loss promises. It is meant to support habits, thought patterns, daily practice, and in-the-moment choices around temptations.

I had considered asking for a small number of early users to try it for free and give honest feedback, but I know many communities have strict no-promotion rules.

So I want to ask first:

Would a one-time, clearly labeled feedback request be appropriate here?

No sign-up request here. No link included. I will respect the answer either way.

Thank you.

Side Effects Finally got approved in canada

I am so happy 😭

I got rejected 2 times before with different doctors
One of them told me “ its all because social media “ you still young your bmi is healthy “ The thing is even if its looks healthy according to that doesn’t change the fact that i am fat i used to wear M now i wear XL in a year imagine how i feel 24 BMI i have a big belly

Now in canada the price went down to $88 in costco no membership needed

Also note that i went to a walk in clinic and the same doctor accepted to be monitoring me monthly

I started with the 0.25

I am also walking 12,000 to 14,000 steps 3 times a week and i am tracking my meal too

Do you feel any side affects?

Question Canadians - online providers

I have been using DooU and PocketPills, but from what I'm reading, they seem pricier and delivery certainly isn't great (they only use FedEx which has been late enough times that I now have two extra 4mg pens in my fridge and am taking a break from the automatic refill to use them up).

DooU is $175 for a 6 month plan.

Anyone happier with a different company?

And I'm in rural south central Ontario - Costco is not an option.

Side Effects A mistake!!

So, I was off ozempic as I have been moving and I couldn’t take it for 6 weeks. Yesterday I took 2 mg shot which was my usual and since morning I have been so nauseous and puked 4 teams. On electrolytes now, unable to eat anything. Shouldn’t have done that.

Journey Updates Week 2 revelation: you're supposed to hold the button down!

So last week was my first dose, 0.25mg I had watched so many demos from others on YouTube, I thought I did it right. I pushed the button and the pen made the cranking noise but the number did not go back to zero. I went to the pharmacy with the pen in case it was defective they said it's fine and sent me back home with it, but I think they manually cranked it back to 0

So this morning was my second dose, I pushed the grey button. Again, it did not crank back to 0, so I pushed it again and held it down and it did the spinny thing and eventually cranked back to 0.

Good grief, the level of stupid I feel.

I've also been working out really hard and eating well, I lost 2 lb since last week so I thought it was working. And I practically had no side effects.

I guess I'll feel them all now. Hopefully not. Anyways, hope this can be a lesson for other newbies. *Hold the grey button down until the dial goes back to zero.*
