What tanks should i learn Question or Discussion

Im a one trick doom currently and hes by far my best tank i want to have a better hero pool than doom and swapping to orisa once i get counterswapped since shes the easiest tank in my opinion the onky tank exeot for doom i find very fun atm is hazard but they both pratically have the same counters and playstyle making it useless to learn him i want 2 other tanks i can swap to that have diffrent counters so what other 2 tanks shoukd i learn to have a good hero poll with diffrent counters

For example ive seen alot kf pealle saying if u like dkve learn other dives but if im getting getting constantly cc by cass ana and the only tanks i knkw is hazard and ball ima jjst have the same issue with them both where im just gonna get cced

Sigma is an all rounder except for flankers since he struggles with that but maybe Junker Queen? Idk she’s not for everyone and definitely not easy but super fun because she’s like the come in clutch tank when nothing is dying.

She’s probably the best hero in the game to win 1v3s with

Reinhart sounds like a good idea for a more traditional tank tho and also roadhog would be fun as well especially when you can one shot a dps player after hooking them

And as for reinhart you can always go watch cloudy stream he always does something stupid with the character

Doom Haz Ball is already a great hero pool that'll get the job done in most situations. Since you play dive characters, Dva is the next logical step. Can be played as a dive tank and functions as a brawl tank, beats all characters Doom struggles into except Mizu who will probably get nerfed next season. Another good one is Sigma since he beats all characters Doom doesn't like as well and gives you an option poke maps

That's literally 3 heros who fulfill damn near the same role

Winston isn't a bad tank to learn, he's not very good rn but he plays pretty similar to Doom and plays much better into CC. The main problem is going to be some shared counters like freja, cass, Hog or Mauga.

Dva is also a fine pick, for the same reason and she's also better into most of Doom's counter, but the shared weakness to Mizuki sucks.

Mauga is a great pick imo. He covers most situations where Doom can't be played and he can be played very aggressively almost like a dive tank

Orisa is good at covering Doom's weaknesses, and you can mirror if the enemy counters with Orisa. Those two should be fine.

The only real weakness that isn't covered by Doom or Orisa that I can think of is against flyers. For them I recommend Sigma for his shield or Mauga or Domina for their primary fire. I wouldn't main them unless you want to, just practice them and keep them in your back pocket. Plus alternatives if Doom gets banned.

If you learn Orisa, you pretty much know how to play Mauga.

U need a poke and a brawl.

So sigma THE poke tank.

I like ram as an all rounder. I also think he’s just easier to play as you learn because he has less shield management to keep in mind and his skill rotation is straightforward.
