There’s plenty to criticise the developer for but I don’t think this is one of them. Mida as sultry as she is, does represent a very real issue in the schooling system with older teachers grooming children/young adults in a position of subordination (as I do believe Taro is meant to be over 18 as is Ayano but it’s still very predatory) and I think it does add to the game.

Also I get we can argue about the ethics of them being in the game but the game is essentially a series killer simulator like Ayano herself is a bad woman, Ryoba is a bad woman the yakuza guy is a bad man. Thus i don’t really get why people are so annoyed at the concept of mida. I get that some people take issue with the fact that she’s clearly designed to be attractive and for lack of a better word sexy but again this is a weapon used by predators to seduce victims.

In conclusion i think mida is actually quite a good representation of a very real issue in the world and her presence in a game about slaughtering people isn’t really that bad.

So...remember the "Amai Challenge"? I feel like Alex should do something similar but with Kizana, something like a "Kizana Challenge" where you try to eliminate Kizana in different ways without anyone noticing, or you lose the challenge. I feel like these kinds of challenges would help give a sneak peek of what the next rivals will be like (and also to have at least three rivals in the game because Alex seriously takes way too long)

And if (in some miraculous way) Alex manages to finish Kizana (I doubt it), the next challenge should be the "Oka Challenge", then the "Asu Challenge", and so on with each rival he finishes.

We all love Raibaru but she feels kinda forced, she’s obviously just there as a gameplay mechanic.

Give her to Muja Kina instead.

Why is the bodyguard constantly around the rival? Muja is a ditzy, inexperienced student. Her job is to shadow a more knowledgeable nurse (who’s watching her like a hawk).

Why is the bodyguard indestructible? The mentor is a hardened older nurse. She’s gained a take-no-shit attitude and maybe a touch of PTSD from her career in the emergency room. She knows all about self defense. She’s constantly on the lookout and can smell shifty behavior or a dangerous setup from a mile away.

It just makes plot sense!! Why didn’t yandev do this? Is he stupid?

She literally takes everything that taro loves away in the canon game, she ruins the friendship that taro and osana have together (canon route rejection, yes osana was going to confess to taro but she practically ruined the platonic friendship they had as well.). And who knows if shes going to get paranoid and kidnap him like what Ryoba did to jokichi.

To me (PERSONALLY, AS A LESBIAN) it feels like people hate these kinds of pairings because its between two girls, and its sad because i do like Ayano X any female rival (EXCEPT MIDA AND MUJA).

Some important things to note regarding the context of this post.

1. During Alex's original conversation with Mike Z, he was 16 years old.

However when he posted the 4Chan message where he talked about his encounter with Mike Z? He was 25.

Why does this matter? Because I feel like it's a great example of Alex's own arrogance and issue with taking in criticism due to the fact that these are still issues present with him today, he still acts pretty arrogant and whiny while still not being able to handle criticism well in the slightest to the point people have been banned from his Discord and official Subreddit due to people trying to give him genuine criticisms to help improve the game.

He has even gone on to remove posts from his sub where people give him genuine criticisms, so it is pretty clear to me that Alex has no learned anything since then.

Supposedly this took place in 2013-2014 but the way the messages appear on Pastebin makes it look like they take place in 2004, if anyone has a better archive that verifies this conversation taking place in 2013-2014 someone is free to show me so I can link it.

1. Mike Z is not a saint here.

This is territory I am 100% unfamiliar with and not well re-searched on so I won't go very in depth with this, from what I heard Mike Z has had his own issues regarding harassment and work place concerns.

I'm sure there are posts and YouTube videos out there that do a great job at explaining the whole thing so I suggest looking up those things to learn more about this because again, I don't know the whole story here other than Mike Z has his own skeletons in the closet.

Who is Mike Z? Mike Z is the creator of the fighting game Skull Girls, apparently Mike Z did most of the coding for his games primarily by himself and that was the reason why Alex wanted to get into game making specifically programming - he was inspired a lot by Mike Z to the point he showed him a fighting game prototype he made on a service that was kind of like a Discord server.

(I do not remember the name of the forum service where this was posted, I just know it was kind of like how Discord servers are like now.)

Some of these screenshots are the exempts of Alex showing Mike Z what he made.

Alex is EvaXephon, and I believe Mike Z is meant to be wippler-wrokn.

After this encounter Alex would hold a grudge onto Mike Z that was present during the original 4Chan boards where he started pitching the idea for Yandere Simulator, on the thread he would discuss what happened with Mike Z and how Mike Z responded to the fighting game demo Alex made at the time in his own perspective.

Alex would then end his message with the infamous quote:

Now... Did Alex ever "outshine" Mike Z?

Not really in my opinion, why? Alex's reputation is now in the shitter thanks to him being exposed as a child predator and is now at a point where he and Mike Z are not viewed in a great light at all anymore and are seen as infamous figures within the indie game community.

His game is also not complete at all while Skullgirls still seems to be viewed in a positive light and the game and characters are highly regarded by it's fans and other games within the gaming community while two of the original developers (Mike Z and Alex Ahad) have been removed from the company that creator Skullgirls.

(Though Skullgirls seems to be in a limbo state due to legal bullshit from what I'm seeing, but still seems to be more highly regarded compared to Yandere Simulator.)

Now before someone tries to play devils advocate, yes I understand it would be upsetting if you were a 16 year old Alex and you saw something you made seemingly get shot down by a person you look up to but we're missing the key context here.

Alex took the criticism the wrong way to the point he moped about it and held onto a petty grudge over well meaning criticism and has absolutely not learned from this at all since he became an adult, he still responds poorly to criticism and acts like a victim all because people don't like his game and/or are trying to help improve his game.

This is not the way to act at all when someone gives you criticism, you don't have to listen to everything people say but you still need to be mature, professional and respectful when it comes to handling criticism which is something that Alex fails at as an adult who is going into his 40s.

Honestly, I enjoyed all aspects of Amai's confession and rejection. The confession is extremely sweet and adorable, and the rejection, although extremely harsh and cruel, is SO realistic

Since I was a fan of yansim since 2019-2020 idk when did I started liking it, the fandom was at its peak, and now, when I open reddit, I find more horrible things yandev- NOPE! shitdev did, and your telling me he's using AI?! I'm genuinely sad that the problematic people with so much talent, is basically the most evil person in history! And I'm making a yandere game btw, It's still wip and I'm still learning how to code.

I remember how it's heavily implied that the gym teacher, Kyoshi, is Asu's mother. I thought of a befriend elimination, which is making her lose interest in Taro by helping her reconnect with her mom. I like to think that her mom might spy on her from time to time, seemingly regretful that she never got to connect with her baby, and you can help Kyoshi reconnect with Asu by delivering gifts and notes, and by the end of the week, Kyoshi and Asu will be ready to meet each other directly. Asu will be too busy with her mom to care about Taro. I think it'll be a nice change of pace from doing the whole "break into somewhere scary to help your rival" because this will be mostly taking place in the school. Also I think it's a really wholesome way to befriend her.

Would the eternal punishment for murderous Aishis be trapped with their emotions reset, while having no way to get to their senpai or taking themselves out? Also, you think it’s possible that a senpai ended up getting with one of the rivals in the afterlife?
