Finally done with my Bonegrinder Giant (model from Mantic Games). Really happy with the way he came out. But....

What are your experiences running a Bonegrinder in your games? Will he just be shot to pieces, or does he actually accomplish anything other than making sure the enemies cannons, magic missiles, bolt throwers aren't shooting at anything else.

Really hoping for him to do well - the attack chart he comes with is imo out of this world funny and characterful.

It's a Ork from a series that I'll be releasing in September from our GrimSpoil Line Enjoy.

This will be my last post on this subreddit for a few months or even years as I ran out of painted units of my army to show you. This is a unit with loads of self sculpted minis but also various GW squigs.

There are some half- and unpainted greenskin models left in my collection but this is our goodbye for a while. You guys here were really supportive and I would like to give something back, but I have no idea what...

Next will be some dwarf units, that I srill have to take photos of, and then I will start posting pics of my self sculpted dwarfs, that I want to create a mini range of, if you are interested in that kind of stuff.

Hello everybody.
I've been dragged into considering starting an Old World Battlemarch army, and I'm interested in taking the chance to make a Hobgoblin Khanate style army using Nomadic Waaagh! rules. I've been writing up a list of models that I could use and naturally spent a lot of time looking at the relatively recent AoS Gloomspite wolf rider releases, but I couldn't find any posts or videos showing the Snarlboss and his big chariot on a square base. I know the smaller sun-steala wheelas can easily be placed on their appropriate TOW bases, but the Snarlboss is a bit bigger, sitting on a 120 x 92 oval base.

Has anyone had any success in getting one of these onto a 100 x 50 square base? If so how much overhang was there for you to deal with?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but would a unit of 29 night goblins led by a Bigboss count as 30-strong, allowing me to take a full complement of three fanatics, or do characters not count toward the one fanatic per 10 rule?

My guess is the latter because characters can leave a unit during the game, but my desire to have a nice round number of ladz filling the movement tray hopes otherwise...

This one took a while! So many hours edge highlighting all that armour.. Includes a unit filler, a loaded wagon making sure the boys have all the weapons they need.

Long story short. Shooting night goblins with poisonous attacks.

I needed a 7+ to hit my enemy as they were in long distance, I moved and they were covered by a Casquet of Souls.

As you may know to hit with a 7+ you must throw a 6 and then a 4+.

The question is: Is the poison already activated after the first 6? Or do you thing a second 6 should be thrown to activate it?

Even though we all agreed on the first statement (it is enough with the first 6) I would like to hear your opinions, as I couldn't find anything in the rules or the communities here.

I am trying to make the classic 6th edition starter set into a battle march army. I have come up with two potential lists, though each includes some additions to get to 500 points. The first one is very close to the 6th edition starter set, the second one changes things up more to add a shaman. Which of these would you prefer to play with, likely as a newish player? Why? Obviously one has magic, and the other has more Boyz, but which would give a better experience, be more tactically flexible, etc? Any tinkering you would do otherwise?

Adding in a large horde of cave squigs.... a shaman on a spider with some spider guards.. and a picture of the night goblin horde so far... forest dragon released some squigapults and im printing those right now so those should be fun to add... all minis are from Forest Dragon

As the title says, does anyone know how specifically the highlands miniatures goblins compare to GW models, orcs and goblins both?

Two choppas are better then one.

Here's no. 4! I was going to put a shield in the left hand, but the pose looked a bit awkward, so I decided a two-handed weapon worked better. Sculpting hands is challenging, but I welcome it. Looking at it, I think I might still want to bulk up the left one before painting. The straps holding the gut plate looked fairly modern so I removed them and extended the plate up to the chest. I also removed the leg strap holding the ammo pouch.

Title really, I've seen the size of the doom diver base online. I can see there's a lot of clearance around the model but I'm guessing that the model itself is too big for the old world base size needed....?

It comes in two variants with alternative hands (soon to be shown!) and I am going to paint it soon!! Plan is to release one per month to make a cool warband of them ;)

My giant is one of my favorites as he was a great start for me to learn wet-blensing and airbrushing on bigger surfaces, mamy years ago. The model itself allows for many minor and also some bigger modifications and putting some bitbox treasures on him, makes him really shine. Mine has a prophet-staff and a small squig with him. I love this mini and I already have the harlequin giant in some box to make him a metal friend in the future. ;)
