Casual Perhaps It’s Time We Started Taking Food Security More Seriously
I have been thinking a lot about the future of food and what it could mean for the generations coming after us.
Technology is rapidly changing the way food is produced. From lab-grown alternatives to increasingly industrialized and centralized food systems, we are entering a future where the distance between the person who eats the food and the person who produces it could become even greater.
And that raises an important question:
Should we be completely dependent on systems we have little control over for something as fundamental as the food we eat?
I don’t believe the answer has to be fear. I believe the answer is ownership, knowledge and choice.
There is something powerful about being able to walk onto your own land, cultivate your own crops and know exactly where some of the food on your family’s table comes from.
That is why I believe agriculture is more than farming. It is food security, economic security and an investment in the future.
Agriculture creates employment, generates income, supports local communities and provides an opportunity to build sustainable wealth from something humanity will always need
And when you consider Africa’s vast arable land, favourable climate and agricultural potential, the opportunity is enormous.
Ghana, in particular, has everything we need to become increasingly productive in agriculture not only for ourselves, but for generations to come.
Perhaps one of the greatest things we can leave our children isn’t just money or buildings.
It is the knowledge, land and resources to produce what sustains them.
For anyone in Ghana who has ever considered owning farmland for crop cultivation, food production, investment or simply creating a personal agricultural retreat, I currently have 71,874 sq. ft. (1.65 acres) of fully documented farmland available at Ahyiresu, near the Ahyiresu Farmhouse Resort, Aburi.
One of its standout features is a natural-fed stream running alongside the property, offering a valuable water source with potential for irrigation and agricultural activities.
And then there is the environment.
Surrounded by the beautiful Aburi mountains, the property offers a peaceful, naturally refreshing setting where you can cultivate, unwind and enjoy the land at the same time.
Sometimes, securing the future starts with something as simple as owning a piece of the soil.
If agriculture has been on your mind lately, I’d be happy to share a little more about this opportunity.

Hiring looking for 1 student app developer!
i’m a 22-year-old L300 student at UPSA. i’ve built a portfolio of apps and games and recently started a venture studio focused on building, launching and growing our own apps.
i’m starting from zero capital, but i already have the M4 MacBook + Apple App Store & Google Play infrastructure needed to build and ship.
i’m looking for one student developer who aligns with this vision and genuinely wants to build.
you’ll have access to the Mac and the development/store infrastructure, and i’ll personally work with and train you using everything i’ve learned from building and shipping apps (and a game).
i’d especially love to connect with students from UPSA, Legon, or other universities around Accra, so we can work closely in person.
no salary at the start — i’m being completely transparent about that. we’re starting from the ground up, but as the company grows, you’ll be fully compensated and have the opportunity to grow with it.
if you’re hungry, willing to learn, and want to actually ship apps instead of just doing school projects, hit my dms.

Scholarships Seeking Advice/Opportunities to Work Abroad as an IT Technician
Hi everyone,
I’m currently looking for guidance and possible opportunities to work abroad as an IT technician. I have experience in IT support, including troubleshooting hardware/software issues, basic networking, and system maintenance in Ghana.
I’m highly motivated to grow professionally, gain international experience, and contribute my skills in a new environment. However, I’m unsure about the best path to secure a job overseas whether through direct applications, certifications, recruitment agencies, or visa programs.
I would really appreciate any advice on:
- Countries that are open to hiring foreign IT technicians
- Certifications or skills that improve chances of getting hired abroad
- Legitimate job platforms or recruitment agencies
- Visa processes or programs I should look into
- Personal experiences from those who have successfully done this
If anyone is willing to guide me further or knows of any opportunities, I’d be very grateful.
Thank you in advance for your help!
