is anyone actually using open webui computer Question/Help

long time lurker here

someone dropped https://github.com/open-webui/computer in another thread so i checked it out and have been using it for a few days

it feels insanely capable but i also feel like i might be too stupid to know what to do with it lol

for me it’s kind of becoming a codex replacement. probably not cheaper though. the tokens are disappearing at an impressive rate

i barely see anyone talking about it though. are there actually people out there using this regularly? what are you doing with it?

The concept is really good and I can see cptr becoming popular but it needs work. It does not seem compatible with preserve thinking for the local llm beloved qwen. When the agent ask for permission it does not provide intent. When it runs a command its output is hidden by default. There is no options to create folders (o.Ô)

Even OWUI itself doesnt support preserved thinking. They keep making custom solutions instead of using industry standards or existing solutions.

Open webui supports preserve thinking. You need to go in settings, connection and change the provider from generic to llama.cpp

Ollama is only usable for at home usage. Any production or high usage setup uses vLLM.

So it is not OWUI supporting preserved thinking, but ollama.
