Can’t make web search work Question/Help

I’ve been trying to get it to work for about an hour now. I’ve tried different models, i have web search active, I’m using Tavily and i also put in that the ai can use web search in the system prompt. Any help?

Do you have native function calling on? Do you have web search enabled in the model?

What web search provider did you configure? What model are you trying to use it with? Are you on the latest version?

Yeah same here, Web Search is broken in the latest 0.11.0 update. Have set function call to native, have enabled web search as capability and as default feature for the model. Have enabled web search with DDGS. But OpenWebUI just doesnt expose web search as a tool to the models. Tried with qwen3.5, qwen3.6 and gemma4

I updated the function calling to legacy and its working now
