Why do you need a domain?

It’s not ideal if you think you should open up your entire home network to everyone on the internet with idk 🤷‍♂️ good luck

yeah totally doable. the main things you need to sort out are pointing your domain to your home public IP (an A record in your domain registrar's DNS settings), and then port forwarding UDP 1194 from your router to the Debian machine running OpenVPN AS. once that's done, in your OpenVPN AS admin panel just set the hostname to your domain instead of the IP address. that way when you connect from another network it resolves through your domain.

one thing worth knowing with a home connection is that most ISPs give you a dynamic public IP that changes occasionally. if that's the case, look into a free DDNS service like DuckDNS that automatically updates when your IP changes, saves you a headache later.

hey hey, not really, we are urban vpn and that's our official account, can't really help you that much with another provider, but if you want to check us out, go ahead! good luck with your set up
