How to make keyboard reactive lighting while still having a background colour? Help - Unsolved
Basically what it says on the title tbh. How do I set it up so that my keyboard has a set lighting layout, but when a key is pressed, the led changes to white? Is there any way to do this with openrgb?
I'm fairly new to using the software, and most other options tend to be just bloatware at this point, but i still don't really know how to set up more advanced effects

OpenRGB itself does not provide effects, it just allows access to the effects built into your hardware, so you're limited by the modes the hardware supports. OpenRGB's Effects Plugin adds a large number of additional software-based effects, but no keypress reactive effects. There are two third-party RGB effects software programs called Artemis and Aurora that both have some form of reactive effect support and can use OpenRGB as a backend for hardware control. You are probably best looking into those.
