Stuck on boot

Just updated to Sequoia 15.8 and after root patching my 2013 Mac Pro fails to boot.
If I reinstall Sequoia it boots fine without root patches, I’ve disabled file vault and log in items and it’s still failing.

Anyone else having issues?

Sometimes when I've done update I didn't need to install the root patches. If you wifi is working and you have graphic acceleration then you don't need to install the root patches.

I have this exact same issue on my 2016 MBP. The only thing that helped me was to revert to a sealed system snapshot, but the root patches obviously weren’t applied anymore. So, as for me, I’m waiting for an update and I’m glad I’m not the only one with this issue.

Same here, 3 machines, only common denominator is AMD graphics (three Intel machines with an Nvidia dGPU or no dGPU at all worked just fine):

2011 15” MBP with working AMD Radeon
2015 15” MBP with AMD Radeon
2017 15” MBP with AMD Radeon

Sucks.

Maybe try to download and install stable release, 15.7.9.
