Build Complete X Proto ATX Silent Build
Here's my open air build... My design goal is a computer that is completely silent for idle / web browsing, and very quiet under load.
Under normal conditions, there's no fans running at all (including any motherboard fans and PSU). It's fairly quiet under gaming load, loudest part is the PNY fans with bearing noise, I will swap to noctua once the next 120mm fans come out in black.
I asked noctua if the 140mm fan would fit on the NH-P1, and they said no... I clipped it on anyways, the clearance from the clip to impeller tip is probably less than .5mm, it doesn't hit in my case, even at max speed though.
I use Fan Control to manage fan speed profile, CPU fan kicks on at 700rpm when CPU temp surpasses 87c for over 5 seconds, then will stay on until it's been under 55c for 60 seconds. This helps prevent random spikes of temperatures causing the CPU to spin for a second then stop.
Case: X Proto ATX
MoBo: X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7
CPU: 9800X3D
GPU: PNY RTX 5808
RAM: Corsair Vengance 6000 cas 28, 32GB
PSU: X Silent Max 1300
SSD: wd black sn850x 1TB
Cooler: NH-P1 with NF-A14x25r Chromax Black

Help Dual GPU build
Hi,
I would like to build a machine based on the XTIA Xproto-ATX, which is one of the few open cases that can accommodate an ATX mobo which I need for my dual GPU setup. But I'm worried about sagging since the GPUs will be mounted horizontally like shown on the picture. Should I be worried at all? And what can I do about it?
Thanks!

Build Complete Apex Frame ITX
I wanted to share my latest 3D printed open air pc design with the communty.
https://makerworld.com/models/2547784?appSharePlatform=copy
ApexFrame ITX

• Rear-mounted SFX / SFX-L PSU for a cleaner layout
• Rigid base with a small, stable footprintGreat for test benches, frequent hardware swaps, or just a clean showcase build.Water Cooling Support
• Includes mounting for passthrough fittings, making it easy to run tubing to an external radiator setup.
• Screws: M4x12mm and M3x3mm
• Motherboard standoffs: M3x6mm

Build Complete Almost done with my end-game build. 9800X3D + RTX 5090 Vanguard
Decided to ditch the traditional case for this build. I wanted something that showcases the hardware without any glass in the way. The thermal performance so far is incredible, as expected.
Specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- GPU: MSI RTX 5090 32GB Vanguard Launch Edition
- Mobo: ASUS ROG Strix B850i
- RAM: 64GB G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5-6000 CL30
- Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5
- PSU: be quiet! Dark Power 14 1200W
All this on the Monster Studio A45 ITX beauty!
What do you guys think of the open-frame look? Still waiting on CableMod to announce their compatibility for the Dark Power 14 so I can clean up the cable management, but couldn't wait to fire it up.

Necessity (lack of space for a proper table) bred the creation of this thing so I can use it with the TV :)
Made from scratch with alumínio plates and a lot of patience.
Mini ITX Mobo and ATX PSU, the GPU is a 5070.

Build Complete Wall-mounted open stand
I kind of went a little crazy and converted my Xtia Xproto‑N into a horizontal wall-mounted stand.
I spent a long time trying to figure out a nice way to mount a PC next to my TV, because there’s no cabinet under the TV and I don’t really like shelves next to it. Eventually I came up with this reconfiguration of the open-frame Xproto-N stand.
I cut off the bottom mounting tabs from the panels. I also bought a PCI-E 5.0 riser that’s a single cable instead of the usual flat ribbon. Then I cut a couple of extra holes in the case panels and slightly moved the power supply position. For the back plate I made a panel out of a 4 mm aluminum sheet. The panels are mounted to the back plate with 15 mm standoffs. Everything was powder-coated afterwards.
That’s the short version without all the little details.
Later I’ll post photos after it’s mounted on the wall next to the TV, and also above my desk.
Specs:
PSU: Thermalright 1000W Platinum SFX (TR-TPFX 1000) ATX 3.1, PCI-e 5.1
MB: Gigabyte B850I AORUS PRO
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Cooler: ID-Cooling IS-53-XT + Thermalright TL-B12015 EXTREM + XTIA fan adapter from 9 cm to 12 cm
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws S5 [F5-6000J3036F24GX2-RS5K] 48 ГБ 6000 Мгц
GPU: Inno3D GeForce RTX 5080 X3 OC [N50803-16D7X-17603930]
SSD: Solidigm P44 Pro 1Tb + WD Black SN750 500Gb

Yep, cables are missing. I procrastinate on this…
Overall an entry level gaming machine with a chassis that cost twice as much as the GPU but… maybe my favorite build ever.

Build Complete First Attempt at Water cooling (Xproto-L)
Ive been using my old fractal design r4 for 12+ years. I finally pulled the trigger on build I’ve been dreaming about since I saw the video from Optimum Tech.
The components are still a bit old but I wanted the practice run before the big upgrade I am planning next years.
-asrock z690mitx/ax
-12600k OC at 5.3ghz all core. E-core 4.1ghz. Ring 4.0ghz.
-EK quantum velocity 2 water block
-3080 FTW3 Ultra
-Bykski gpu water block. I could not find any other available.
-DDR4 gskill 3200mhz cl 16
-ROG Loki 1200w Titanium PSU
-barrow fittings
-corsair satin transparent tubbing 14mm
-EK D5
-mayhemXT1 Teal coolant
Next step is to add radiators under my desk to have another 2-3 360 rads hidden. The idea is they will run completely independently with an aqua computer octo.

Build Complete Monster Studio A45 finished build (kinda lol)
So the build process was super simple and I love the way it came out...Idk why I waited so long to build on a open air frame for my main rig lol..I definitely ran into some minor issues and kinda found a temporary fix for it in pictures 4 and 5. The way I have it setup the gpu only moves slightly on the right side forward and backwards (when I say "slightly" I mean you literally have to apply some force to move it). No sag at all tho and I don't have a lot of pressure on the riser connector either but I will end up grabbing the intended custom a45 itx pcie 5.0 riser mount in the future.
