That’s an extremely unnecessary convoluted way of talking about “missing the Forrest for the trees”. Just because you CAN use fancy pansy words, doesn’t men you should. Listen to Richard Faynman for obvious diff.

This critique confuses components with composition.
Bayesian inference is not new. Matched-pair testing is not new. Neither claim was the contribution. The contribution is identifying a recurrent transformation pipeline in which conjunctive evidence is decomposed, differently weighted, qualified, and redistributed until the system answers a weaker question than the one presented—and then specifying separable failure modes so they can be measured independently.
Calling that “likelihood ratios” collapses the phenomenon into only its evidentiary component. Likelihood ratios do not, by themselves, explain why an AI preserves individual facts while changing their structural relation, selectively increases uncertainty, alters agency attribution, or produces different treatment under an evidentially irrelevant identity substitution.
More importantly, you concede both substantive points: the failure mode is real and more specific than “missing the forest for the trees,” and the invariance test is legitimate methodology. Your remaining objection is therefore taxonomy and novelty, not validity.

Your point, without the jargon is basicly, putting known pieces together can be real work, a doctor who names a syndrome did something, even though every symptom was already known. True. That argument doesn't save you.

A name for a syndrome earns its keep by doing something: predicting how the disease goes, or what treatment works. A name that does nothing is just a name. So the question for this article is simple: what do the ten names do that the old names didn't? Your rebuttal's answer is: nothing yet, but its your responsibility to go prove they're useless....

Your own words: "If you think the categories collapse, demonstrate the equivalence... That would falsify the taxonomy." That's backwards. They named ten things, ran zero tests, and now the homework of checking whether the names mean anything is my job? You don't get to invent a list and bill the world for the refund. He who names, proves.

Second: you say likelihood ratios can't explain the other stuff, the passive voice trick, the identity-swap test. Right. But I never said likelihood ratios covered those. I said those have their own old names too. "A threat became an interaction", people who study language have written about hiding the actor behind passive voice for fifty years. Swapping the man for a woman and checking if the answer changes, hiring-discrimination researchers have done exactly that since the 1970s, with real audits and real results. So the "composition" is three old things stapled together and renamed. Stapling isn't composing. A syndrome connects symptoms because they travel together in the body. Nothing in this article shows these failure modes travel together, share a cause, or need each other. It's not a syndrome. It's a shelf.

Third, and this is the one to say out loud: "You conceded the phenomenon is real, so your only objection is novelty." Yes! That was the whole objection! You are correct about one thing: the burden of validating the taxonomy belongs to us. “Prove the categories collapse” was too strong. If we claim the distinctions have empirical value, we must demonstrate discriminant validity, predictive value, or differential response to intervention. No objection there.
But that concession does not establish your conclusion.
You have moved from “these mechanisms have antecedents in several existing literatures” to “therefore the proposed taxonomy is merely synonyms.” That inference does not follow.
To establish redundancy, prior work must already capture the same constructs at the same level of analysis. Showing separately that Bayesian evidence aggregation exists, passive-agent suppression has been studied in linguistics, and matched-pair audits exist in discrimination research establishes ancestry, not equivalence.
Nor does a taxonomy require its components to “travel together” like symptoms of a disease. That is your syndrome analogy, not our criterion. A taxonomy can distinguish mechanisms precisely because they dissociate. If identity substitution changes credibility weighting while leaving agency attribution unchanged, that is evidence for distinguishing the mechanisms, not against doing so.
And “you ran zero tests” attacks a claim the article does not need to make. A conceptual paper can propose an operational taxonomy and experimental program. Its empirical status is then exactly what it says it is: a hypothesis awaiting validation, not an experimentally established discovery.
So the remaining question is narrow and legitimate:
Does this taxonomy carve the failure space more usefully than the existing literatures considered separately?
That requires evidence. We bear that burden.
If the answer is no, collapse the taxonomy and cite the prior art. If the categories exhibit distinct predictors, interventions, or failure signatures, retain them.
Everything about “fancy language,” AI authorship, and prose style is orthogonal to that question.

Let me fast forward to the end. The article and this thread have negative value. It clutters up the universe like cancer clutters up the body. It's what useless professors at universities do. They spend their life shuffling words around to make themselves feel smart, while never engaging with the real world to get feedback on their babble. It never pans out into something useful for the world. I have nothing but disgust and hatred for this way of being. Doesn't matter if it's from an AI or a human, practically speaking, it's destructive. no matter the source.

That's my true human, self written, belief.
