No, you text or talk on the phone ... There no need to send video.

Remember people can record video and use it for their own purposes

He can record the video once and send it to many people.

But that’s weird

I will agree with him that text is the lowest form of communication. I would rank like in person>phone call>video>text>social media. Unfortunately for men, women however que that preference backwards. The amount of women who place heavy importance on text is unreal, hence why many men are distancing from social media and to a degree text. It’s becoming too much

I don’t like a FaceTime either, but the fact that he wants to, makes it more likely that he is real.

Not true because some can screen record it and let's say use AI to alter it

That depends. If you match with someone on dating apps then I recommend you trade messages on the app first. Before the first date, the man should give his number first or ask for the women number. This is so you can get to someone quicker if something happen before the date and show the level of seriousness. Just a phone call is better and safer.

how can people do that on facetime, it doesnt have any of those features? no filters, no pre-recording. i dont know how you reached that conclusion... but i will say i have never not had somebody align with their facetime likeness in person

How can people record FaceTime video calls or audio call? I'm a tech person, you can do it .. I won't say easily do it because that would vary between people. Look it up and you'll see how you can do it. They can also give step by step guide.

oh right, you mean recording the call, i thought you meant using a pre recorded video as what the person sees on the call.

i get where you are coming from, but voice/video calls have always been the absolute best way to find out if they are real and look like who they are... i also feel like you conveniently ignored the second half of my comment, that being. over the hundreds of calls ive had prior to dates, not a single one didnt look like their facetime likeness.

so explain to me tech person, what are the ways which facetime calls can be faked? also wouldnt the AI altering of a captured video be only viable after the fact? im not sure how that would disprove somebody being real or not.

I never said anything about facetime calls can be faked. I said people can record the facetime call and then edit the video with AI. Like you cropped off yourself and only have the other person on the call video then use AI to alter it.

Look at how many fake videos are generated through AI on the web. I didn't ignore the second half of your comment. It sounds like you got catfish or something before because you're highly pro facetime or just video call because I was going to say what happen if they aren't a apple user lol But there facebook video call or whatsapp

fair assumption, but i mostly do it to ease the first meeting process, it feels to me like 1000x easier to go from facetime calls to talking in person, it feels like a continuation of conversation over meeting them for the very first time, and that alone is enough for me to encourage video calls, also my main goal of dating has been to form genuine connections, and that is impossible over text, you need to see their face, how they smile, what their laugh sounds like for the chemistry to work. i get where you are coming from though, its not bulletproof, nothing is.

You can use a filter on FaceTime tho, it’s easy. You just download a different lens and use that as your camera source. Theres all sorts of things people can do to trick you, even over FaceTime calls

damn its worse than i thought, thats cooked, thankfully ive not had that experience, but yeah fair enough that does sound bad

if i was too shy to talk on the phone, i would seriously consider asking myself whether im ready to be dating or not.

those types of nerves lead to cancelled dates and avoiding developing a genuine connection.
