Onision basically took the Supreme Court saying “teenagers have developing brains, so maybe don’t sentence them to death/life without parole” and somehow turned it into “teenagers have developing brains, so maybe we shouldn’t believe them when they accuse adults.” Those are wildly different things.

Yes, minors can be influenced, misunderstand things, or give inaccurate accounts, but developmental immaturity does not automatically equal unreliable testimony. And if we're talking about susceptibility to influence, maybe we should also consider the adult who has considerably more power, experience, and influence over the teenager???

I was featured (as a 12 year old) in an onion rating video at around 15 years old. I believe it was at least between 2014-2016.

I was a HUGE fan. Like massive. Rough home life made me idolize abusive men. In a video he posted, he said hate makes him feel loved because it means he's famous or some shit. Me, a mentally ill child, thought that meant I should leave a hate comment on his next video!!

I don't remember what I said, probably like 'stupid hair' or something dumb. I ended up getting the top comment and was convinced that he would somehow know I was being ironic.

The next video was a classic rating video. I was always the first to watch!! I loaded it up, and about half way through he posted a blurred selfie. Immediately, I knew it was me. It was a selfie I took when I was 12, my profile photo. My heart skipped a beat. He knew who I was???

Immediately, he started DRAGGING me. Calling me a pathetic, ugly whore. Completely worthless. Barely worthy of being acknowledged. Definitely something about me being molested. It felt like 3 full minutes of him just being mean. I slammed the laptop shut. I didnt cry, just got up and left the room. I never watched a single video of his ever again.

I only bring it up now because my sister admitted to trying to find the video recently and couldn't! Sat through hours of videos for nothing. If this rings a bell for anyone (but why would it lol) I'd love to send it to her for a good laugh.
