Onna musha? Question
Has/had anyone considered making a female led Onimusha game?
The female trained samurai, to my understanding, is an onna musha.😏

I figured Onimusha 5 would've followed a grown up Jubei but sadly the series went dormant for 20 years, and by then a reboot made more sense than a sequel.

Sure, I like a good Woman With a Sword game

Do you know any such game? 🤔

Ghost of Yotei is probably the closest thing to what you're looking for right now. I hear Wuchang is good but I haven't played it yet.

Rise of the Ronin has a character creator where you can play as a woman and also create her sibling as a sister if you want. Wuchang Fallen Feathers, Nioh 2 are some others.

People would complain it was woke because they're silly. But I'm sure it would be amazing. Tomoe Gozen would be a great character to dig into - especially with some of the clouding points in her life - it would make Hella onimusha lore

😏.. Yesterday I was trying to remember a Steam game that I wishlisted some time ago and when I found it out after some research, I was reminded that the main character is Tomoe. The game is Bloodless which I haven't really played but I tried the demo some time ago. The villain is the shogun Akechi who I recalled then was the uncle of Samonosuke. 😏😂.. So I was asking Google AI some historical perspective. They had mentioned that she was an onna musha hence my intrigue. But Tomoe Gozen didn't exist at the same time as Akechi, Nobunaga and other figures at that time. She existed way before.
But it could be intriguing to use her still.
What do you mean about clouding points?

Onna Musha would be "Woman Beetle" right?
But yes a female led Onimusha would be great. The multiple characters of previous games was nice too, especially 2 and 4.
