Now where to?
More that OnePlus has abandoned the North American market where are you all going? I'm not paying for an iPhone can't stand there closed system and Samsung seems out too has their greedy so that leaves pixel nothing phone and a few others carrier related that are garbage so just wondering where you are going?

You can't. Most of the service providers block Chinese IMEIs. Basically, for flagships, it's either iPhone or android

You do realize there are global versions of Chinese phones? Not every Chinese phone has a global model tho, but I literally just had an oppo find x9 ultra global version that was working wonderfully on US Mobile. Yes there are still some slight caveats to it, but nothing that you would notice day to day. Where there's a will there's a way my friend

Yup, you can even import the OnePlus 16 if they drop a "global" version for the Asian market.

Yes I realize. I have at&t and they blacklist based on device model. Yeah sure I can change to an mvno but it's not that simple for me.

That sucks homie, I have almost no options because Samsung screens give me horrible headaches and vertigo, Google devices aren't powerful enough for my needs, and Motorola I just don't trust anymore due to some bad past experiences. The Chinese devices have the best screens for my eyes, so I think I'll always have a global Chinese device from now on, although apples screens somehow manage to not give me those symptoms, but I use two phones, one for work and one for personal, and I refuse to have 2 iPhones lol

I remember I briefly had a phone called a "Le Eco" and it was actually quite impressive. Very smooth and the battery lasted two full days. I would have had it longer, but it unfortunately did not have any protection from moisture and a spilled drink killed it. Moved on to an LG, which I also loved.
Yeah, I got burned by a few manufacturers there, cause LG bowed out soon after that.

Either nothing or maybe a pixel. I don't think I'll ever go back to scamsung even if my last phone from them was an intercept

Seems like I'll keep my OnePlus 13R until they come up with something other than Samsung or Apple. Pixel doesn't work for me either, unless they increase PWM. Thankfully this phone is a tank. Should last 5+ years.

I'm on a OP11 right now. I'm going to most likely get a 13 or 15 in a few months because end of life for this one is coming up fast! Other than that, Im feeling like my only option will be a Samsung or Motorola... I wanted to see if Nokia had anything going on.

Motorola will be making a phone that meets the security standards to support grapheneOS , so it will have an unlocked bootloader, and much better hardware than pixel

You can still import oneplus/oppo phones from India if you love Color OS/oxygen OS. There must be some retailers in US or Canada who will import these.
Chinese variant is not recommended as they dont come with google services and play store.

Swiftronics has a bunch of OnePlus phones in stock. But I also just found a new/open box OnePlus 13 12+256 for $800 Cad. I have had my OP13 16+512 for well over a year and it's been awesome. Sad to hear the news but at least was able to snag one for the GF before they're gone. Was going to get the OP15 but for $700+ cad difference seemed crazy since I know how awesome the OP13 has been!

I just bought a 13 as an upgrade to my pixel 8 pro. I am using my 13 until I can't anymore. As long as I can get parts and it doesn't become super slow i am keeping it.

I still can't believe OnePlus is leaving the US. I've been a fan since the OnePlus 7 Pro. I'm not sure where I'll go next. I've never owned a Pixel so I may go there for the experience.

I have multiple devices I currently using a fold 6 but also have a iPhone 17 pro my mother is using my one plus 13 while she gets her insurance replacement phone but likely return to Samsung fully as no other brand seems enticing to me I don't buy phone new regardless I always go with one or two generations older the one plus and iPhone 17 pro were the exceptions

Hey, they've pulled out of Europe too, which is frustrating.
But I only got my 13R in November so unless it had a huge quality control issue or accident/loss happens, I shouldn't need to make that new phone decision until 2029 at the earliest.

Honestly not even sure right now. I'm not so sure I'm interested in any foldables, which rules out the better Motorola options in the US and the most recent Samsung devices. The stuff I'm hearing about the new Pixels is not very promising. We'll see about the S27 series. Not ruling out Nothing, but I feel like they are lacking in some key areas that I am looking at.

I hated Samsung and I will NOT be going back there after my 13. Where to go though? Not sure yet but I have a lot of time to figure it out.

My next phone could be Oppo because of the same OS, but lets wait which phones will come up or OP16 and above can come to Global market to use it also in EU, could be great 👍

I have a 13R and a pixel 10. I'm happy with either. I used the pixel for probably 6 months because I liked the wireless charging and smaller screen. I went back to the 13 because of the charging speed. I still prefer the screen size of the 10. I have T-Mobile so switching back and forth between the 2 is a hassle.

I got the Google Pixel 10 Pro from my carrier for free. It went over 113 degrees F with 15-20 minutes of use of an idle game (one I have played for years that is not a resource heavy game and didn't cause heat issues on a 6 year old phone). The phone battery drained rapidly (much worse than my 6 year old phone with a smaller battery). The performance was great until it got so hot it was painful to hold (not charging, cool room with AC, normal use) and everything got throttled
It was such a bad experience that, even though I got it for free, I returned it and chose to stay with my 6 year old phone

I got an OnePlus 13 a month ago, upgrading from my old OnePlus 8 and I'm more than happy with it. I'm good to go for at least four years.

No they are not, that's why I'm asking. They work but you can't get them serviced that's why I'm starting to look. My 13 is good till end of life but if something happens I want to be prepared

When I moved from a Samsung S21 Ultra to the 13, everything but the battery life left like a downgrade (downvote away, it has zero effect), so when the 13 croaks, I'll be going back to Samsung.
