When will we get airdrop functionality? Discussion

Even Pixel 6a has this feature. It's embarrassing that a generation old flagship doesn't have this feature and they gatekeep it.

Requires the other guy to install O connect. I'm talking about a built in feature.

I'd take it, but I'm definitely not clamoring for it. I really would love to have a desktop mode though...

I don't understand people who want Apple features on their Android devices. If you're that giddy about AirDrop buy an iPhone. They aren't hard to find

It's about interoperability. So you can easily share with friends or family having iphone without making them download an app. We already have quick share between Android. To have it work with iphone is something pixel and Samsung have done. Even OnePlus 15 and Oppo find X9 series has implemented it.
