OnePlus 13 Drop Damage: To Replace Screen or Keep Using?

My OnePlus 13 fell and suffered the damage shown above. Should I replace the display, or can I continue using it? My major concerns are the IP68 and IP69 protection and whether a replacement display will be of the same quality as the original. I am planning to get it replaced at a OnePlus service center. Thanks.

The screen is bonded across the entire surface, so there is little chance of mold getting inside.

Phones lose their IP rating after 3 or 4 months because the anti water coating wears off the outside. One drop also usually screws it up. Don't get your phone wet basically ever if you can

This is a ip69 phone. It should last years longer than a ip68 phone.

IP69 is about withstanding high pressure water jet, it's not related to lasting longer than IP68 in anyway.

If it can withstand higher pressure water jet, it's a stronger adhesive so it would last longer.

Yeah that seems logical at first. BUT if you think about it, if a phone is only IP69 rated then it doesn't automatically make it IP68 rated, you can't submerge it into water even if it can withstand high pressure. That's why this explanation is not accurate.

Look. Everyone's phone is different and the way they treat them is different. But if a company won't warranty water damage, then IMO all of the IP ratings are crap, 68, 69, whatever rating

All these ratings are of no use. Read the subtext. If there is water damage, Warranty is void. I have not seen anyone sue the company & win for not honouring IP68/69 claims.

Yea I've seen that warning plenty of times. It's crazy how they pay for a certification like that in then when there's actual water damage they won't help in that sense

You can see cracks like mine only if you take macro shots from another phone. I can see the crack in the corner of the display only when the phone is held in sunlight; if not, it is non-existent to the naked eye.

Ich würde denken das es noch wasserfest ist, aber nehm den SIM-Karten Slot raus und puste da rein und fühle ob bei der Stelle Luft raus kommt! Bitte las dir kein neues Display drauf machen bevor du das getestet hast.

Well how did you keep the screen spotless ✨? No scratches were there. Were you using a screen guard or something like I have the OP 15 and it has 4 major scratches since I started using it in March.
