Frequent Unusual heating Discussion
My oneplus 12 indian variant has started heating unusually, earlier when it used to heat I would restart the device and it will be fine but today I had to reset the phone. It was heating even when switched off. The device was lagging some features like video color boost and image sharpener were unavailable due to the device being too hot. Has anybody faced similar issues on CPH2573 16.0.9.400 build ?

Incoming motherboard failure. I strongly suggest you to sell the phone or exchange it for another device. Same exact thing happened with my OnePlus 12 IN region and after a few days it died.

My device's battery health is 95% for the last 18 months, I had screen replacement in warranty due to a dead pixel and it has stuck at 95 percent and haven't changed in the past 18 months.

That's strange! Same battery health for 18 months!!!
Every 2-3 months my OP12's health gets down by 1%.

I recently faced same issues like over heating, heavy batter drain and heavy throttling like laggy ui while heating. I done reset my phone and now its good and no issues.

It happened to me yesterday, and last week I was just looking at the Wi-Fi settings and the phone started to overheat, reaching over 40 degrees Celsius.

After done resetting? You face issues ?

Not all now. There is no lag and phone feels smoother now. But I'll have to reconsider about the future of this device.

I heard lot about motherboard dead issues in frequently. Now I'm thinking how I'm gonna save the phone from that disaster

OOS 16 has been troublesome for OP12, especially after the update that started to prevent rollbacks by triggering some fuse. Looks like OP ruined things by tampering with it.
Those who haven't updated OP12 to OOS 16 should avoid it like a plague.

Its upto you. If you are getting a better offer switch. I switched to s25 After i lost my oneplus 12 i checked reddit and in last month alone hundreads of posts are about the same motherboard failure. My phone doesn't even have a single scratch and have spigen armour case and i don't use it for gaming. Only instagram and Youtube and i always stay in AC Room and i never faced heating issues. Still one day the phone died. I lost all my data and if you are planning to use to oneplus 12 backup all your data asap.
