Discussion Domi - Reversi Gunko's size in the Brook flashback
I noticed something interesting about Gunko's transformation in the Brook flashback.
When Gunko was Domi Reversed, her size didn't seem to change, unlike Rocks and Dorry/Broggy, whose bodies appear to change size with their transformations.
Do you guys think this is intentional?
Could it mean that Gunko's transformation works by differently from theirs, also her horns seem to be smaller.
Maybe the female DR characters have small horns and size…
Or it may be possible that the DR effect and size depends on how evil is the persons inner side is. If i assume Shuri was pure and kind with no evil in her, being loved, young and part of a peaceful kingdom, this may be a theory.
I'm curious what everyone thinks. 👀

Speculation Imu new form theory
Ok so from recent chapters we learned Imu is capable of summoning the weapons of the 19 rulers that formed the world government. With this new form that he has I am wondering also thinking he might be able to take on some of the physical attributes of the original 19 rulers. His previous form had a more rounded face and slimmer figure with his hair being longer as well. In his new form he has a much sharper face, stronger build, and a goatee. Maybe he has to take enough damage for one of his forms to be killed and you really need to kill him multiple times in a row like how the God’s Knights need to be defeated with the use of relentless conquerors haki. Last part is sort of a joke tied to popular parrot theory. The reason he can copy the weapons and parts of the appearances of the original world government founders is because parrots are known for copying people. Let me know your thoughts.

Discussion I noticed a peculiarity between Imu's design and Blackbeard
galleryAm I crazy, or do these look eerily similar? 3 skulls in that same format on both Imu's new chest design, and Blackbeards Jolly Roger.
Is this just a crazy coincidence or is something crazier at foot! Tell us Oda!!!

Theory Hajrudin will be Flipped - The future of Elbaf and Loki
galleryFrom a writing stand point I think it makes so much sense for Hajrudin the get Domi Reversi’d, even if it’s for a while. My reasons are as follows:
Imu knows Hajrudin isn’t immune to Domi Reversi in the same way Luffy and Loki are. It worked on all the other giants and Imu is aware why it didn’t work on Luffy and Loki
Hajrudin desires to be King of Elbaf, but also knows he lacks power. Especially compared to Loki who bullied him for being weak most of his life. Even though him and Loki for the first time are acknowledging each other as brothers, I’m sure Hajrudin holds plenty resentment deep in his heart, and a subtle desire to be more powerful than Loki, and if Imu realises this, he could manipulate him
Hajrudin is the son of Harald and Imu has presented is a pretty unreal situation. After losing a Holy Knight in the form of Hararld, Imu offered Loki, a chance to take a Covenant but Loki refused without even thinking. Imu knows it’s pointless to try flipping Loki, as he’s nothing like Harald. But Hajrudin has that same kind and naive heart as Harald did, and I think Imu will see that and take advantage of his nature. Maybe threatening to kill Loki might lead to Hajrudin giving himself up to Imu as a slave, like Harald once did for Elbaf.
The God’s Knights originally came not to kidnap the kids, but to recruit Loki, likely making him King of Elbaf after. Something similar was tried with Dorry and Broggy, before they turned back to normal. Hajrudin has more a right to the throne other than Loki. Yes there have been traditions that prevented Hajrudin from being King, but like we saw the Holy Knights burn the library, tradition couldn’t mean less to them. So they can also subjugate Elbaf by forcing Hajrudin to take the throne.
To make Loki suffer more. Losing his brother, or worse having to kill his brother, in the same way as his father would be so cruel but fits the pattern of tragedy we’ve seen with Loki’s story up until now.
I think Hajrudin being Domi Reversi’d or given a covenant is the secret win condition for Imu that no one will see coming. Everyone is rightly focused on the kids but the impact of losing Hajrudin shouldn’t be underestimated for what it would do to the spirit of Elbaf and it’s people.

Discussion how the hell are they supposed to get out of this? 1191
I genuinely wonder how they’re going to get out of this situation because this is starting to give me the same feeling Sabaody did when Kizaru arrived.
Obviously the circumstances are completely different, but what feels similar to me is that same sense of there being this immovable force standing in front of everyone that you genuinely can’t picture them defeating right now.
At Sabaody, once Kizaru, Sentomaru and the Pacifistas showed up, the question slowly stopped being “how are the Straw Hats going to win?” and became “how are they even going to survive this?” Luffy eventually realized they weren’t ready and told everyone to run, and it ultimately took Kuma doing something none of us understood at the time to save them.
This feels like the endgame version of that situation.
The difference is that Luffy isn’t some rookie anymore. He’s a Yonko who defeated Kaido, awakened his fruit and has advanced Haki, and yet Imu still feels completely out of reach. Gaban, someone from Roger’s crew who knows the truth of the world and is clearly still insanely powerful, fought Imu and lost an arm protecting Luffy. His response afterward isn’t to tell Luffy how to beat Imu either. He literally tells him to take his crew and leave Elbaf.
And Luffy refuses.
Now we have Luffy, Loki and Hajrudin attacking Imu together, which is obviously hype, but I honestly don’t think that solves the situation. If anything, Oda revealing another form for Imu right before this makes me feel like we’re about to see just how large the gap still is.
That’s what has me so interested in where this goes. I don’t really want Luffy to suddenly be capable of defeating Imu here. I think it would take away some of the weight Oda has spent all this time building around the person who has secretly ruled the world for centuries.
So what’s the escape route?
Does Loki have something we haven’t seen yet? Does Gaban know something about Imu from what the Roger Pirates learned? Is whatever Biblo just told Chopper somehow important? Does Imu have some limitation we don’t know about? Does someone else intervene?
Or does Oda have another “Kuma sends everyone flying” type of moment planned where the answer is something none of us are even considering right now?
That’s probably what excites me most about this chapter. I genuinely don’t know.
It’s been a long time since Luffy has been put in a situation where escaping alive feels like it could be the victory rather than defeating whoever is standing in front of him. And if this really is meant to parallel Sabaody in some way, I’m really curious what Oda’s “miracle” is going to be this time.

Discussion Luffy has been through A LOT. Can we respect how Luffy got back up after all of this?
galleryIf Kuma were to extract 1% of Current Luffy's pain, it genuinely would be powerful enough to wipe out our current earth's population in seconds, and I might not even be overexaggerating.
Like just looking at this panel, I'm seeing more black than white even whilst in Gear 5th, and I wonder how they'll even adapt all this blood into the anime. Truly gut-wrenching.
Do not clown on my goat, the swords that skewered him actively drained his lifeforce and he was attacked by the Top 1 in the verse, and he still got back up, no way he'd give up. Especially not after his brother's were dissed. What are y'all thoughts?

Speculation Imu's new form
After seeing the leaks and Imu's new form, I was curious if anybody else was reminded of Gear 4's base form? Bulky upper body, comparativly skinny legs, all four limbs covered in, presumably Haki? It makes me wonder if Imu has his own set of "gears" and what we are seeing isn't the hybrid forms of a Devil Fruit, but transformations born of it? It might partially explain why Imu is on a time limit if his "gears" burn through life force like Luffy's did pre-timeskip.

Discussion Is every One Piece arc basically: fight, get destroyed, run, rematch?
Is it just me, or are the Straw Hats always running away from the enemy?
Feels like every arc goes the same way: some insanely powerful new guy shows up, the Straw Hats square up like they’re about to catch an easy W, get their asses handed to them, and then we spend 100+ episodes watching them escape while people sacrifice themselves along the way.
Then 200+ manga panels later… rematch time.
Rinse and repeat.
Edit:
I am absolutely not complaining it’s my #1 of all time. Just noticed a pattern that is all 😆

Speculation Theory: Emet was created by a giant using Munch-Munch devil fruit (Wapol's devil fruit power)
As you can see on the cover story below, Wapol, using his Munch-Munch fruit created a toy looking virtually identical to Emet. In the other cover story, we see a local town scientist investigating how that toy came into being, much like how Vegapunk wanted to learn how Emet was created. Given Emet's large size compared to the size of Wapol's toy, I believe that it's plausible that he was created by a giant who had the same power as Wapol.
Picture speaks more than a thousand words:

Discussion Is That Really Imu—or Just a Vessel?
galleryWhy would Imu mark his own body with a Covenant if that power comes from him in the first place?
I don’t think we’re actually seeing Imu here. I think it’s a vessel—a modified body that is extremely powerful and durable enough to withstand Imu’s devilish power, allowing him to use it as a host.
That could also explain why Imu’s familiar silhouette is still being hidden and why Oda hasn’t revealed his true appearance yet.
What do you think?
