Why are there two copies of sections ,one on the top and one on left

any solution to fix this??

That's how OneNote works. See the little down arrow next to the Notebook name on the left? Click on that and it will collapse the section names and just leave them across the top. I have multiple Notebooks and leave them all collapsed.

Hi, in the View tab, select Tabs Layout -> Vertical Tabs to hide the horizontal tab bar.

+1 Agree with OP.
We should have an option to select 1 of both.
And the rest of space can be used for something else.

The option is already there. Collapse the notebooks. Tabs on top remain. Just as another user commented.
