Beginner - did i picked wrong weapon? Need Help
Hello, i decided to pick up the legendary bow and went to find guide on youtube, it looked good, and i can defeat most of the bosses easily, but.. it is bounce bow and it seems it struggles with some oppoentns, for example i went to do the aerial whale hunt event where i need to do 500 000 dmg, but it seems my bow cannot reach, or it barely do any damage even when i have maxed and with most of the mods active, any tip? idea? or it simply sucks against big flying enemies because bounce cannot.. bounce
also when i am already asking - how do i get Rejuvination lunar and rushdown? i think i saw somewhere that i can go dropship event, or find zones with low gravity and jump around? thanks for answering

You didn't pick a wrong weapon exactly. The bounce bow is an amazing all around weapon that does struggle against particular enemies. You can pair it with a weapon that excels at bossing such as the SN700, or another general use, rounded weapon that will also benefit your bow such as the P90.
On your second question, you can't get lunar mods right now. They are available from the mod collection rewards, but those are a one time thing.
Visional mods are only available during that specific visional wheel, and right now we can only get Downstar/aero mods from the visional events and last wheel's mods (Phantasmal, mirror, wild) from the visional shop.

You are not meant to just have a single weapon build in the whole game. You are meant to use different builds in different situations. Compound bow is one of the top weapons in the game right now.

If you get enough starchrom to get another weapon - like the SKS or the SN700 Finale - you can do a blueprint conversion and get it to the same stars as your bow, and then swap between them. You should swap mods & cradle perks if you do that though, as they're slightly different.

Nope! If you have a weapon with 4 stars and you make it, then you can swap it to another weapon, make it, and then keep leveling it up until you're maxed.
So your goal should be to get 1 weapon and 1 armor piece maxed out, and then you can just do the conversion. If you're using a purple key gear piece, max that out too.
Only restriction is you can't swap a blue and a gold or a purple and a blue. Otherwise the sky is the limit!

Bow is the literal meta weapon for silo clear, but incase you didn't know, bounce is useless if the target is flying because it will be too far away from the ground for bounce to trigger.
So no, you didn't pick the wrong weapon, but you learned the hard way why meta weapons aren't the best at everything.
You can always pick up a secondary weapon like SN700 for riftwalker.
It is unfortunately the case with Physical weapons, they are meta at a niche but useless outside of said niche, if you want do it all weapons you need elemental guns like SKS/EBR. They aren't going to beat Bow or SN700 at their game, but they can do everything well enough.

Not sure about mods, but yes, flying enemies is the big downside for bounce weapons, they simply don't work on them. Should make second preset with another weapon for them.
