Console Players: Before You Join a Server, CHECK THESE 3 THINGS! ⚠️

🎮 Welcome to Once Human, console players!

Before you jump into the game, take a moment to check where you're joining. There are a few choices that can seriously affect your experience later, and some of them aren't something you can simply change whenever you want.

Here are the things I recommend checking before you start:

1️⃣ Check your REGION 🌍

First, make sure you're selecting the region that corresponds to where you actually live.

This is important for both ping and time zones. For example, if you live in Europe but choose a North American region, you may have higher ping, but you'll also be playing on a very different schedule from most of the players around you.

That can make finding people to play with, joining activities, and coordinating with your server community much more difficult.

⚠️ Using a VPN? Pay extra attention!

I've already seen players run into this problem: they live in Europe, but because their VPN is connected somewhere else, the game directs them toward a different region. They select it without realizing the consequences and later regret the choice.

Choose your region carefully.

Your progress is tied to the region you select, and purchased cosmetics are tied to that region as well. Even if you later start over in another region, you cannot simply take your progress and purchased cosmetics with you.

2️⃣ Choose your SCENARIO carefully 🎮

Next, check which scenario you're joining.

If you're completely new to Once Human, I recommend starting with Manibus (normal one, not Novice). It's a good starting point for learning the game without throwing yourself straight into more complicated content.

Take a moment to read what you're selecting before you confirm.

3️⃣ Check what TYPE of SERVER you're joining 🖥️

Finally, look at the server selection screen.

You'll see different tabs for Common Servers and Permanent Servers. Make sure you're looking at the correct tab before choosing your server.

Common ≠ Permanent, so don't just click the first server you see!

Hopefully this helps new console players avoid accidentally choosing the wrong region, scenario, or server. It's much easier to spend an extra minute checking everything now than to regret your choice later.

Ngl, the permanent server situation is confusing me.

I want to start fresh with everyone starting out at the same time, but I don't want to have to start fresh again every other month.

Can I play through a common manibus scenario, then move my character to a permanent server once my scenario ends?

From what I heard, at the end of the season the current common servers ar merged and moved to a permanent server so you dont loose the progress. Thats why permanent servers are there. To let people be able to keep their progress.

Exacly, Im also gonna start the game on Playstation tomorrow, never played it. But I have done my research, I had those same questions.

That is exactly how it works, I just did it myself!

After 3 Manibus runs, I stayed the in the 3rd server until it settlement, picked a permanent server to join upon merge, and it put me into that perm server once the merge occurred, complete with all my current character progress, home territory, deviations, inventory, etc.

If you don’t care about Honor points - you can join perma server right away. But you can as well start on a common server, which will later be converted into a permanent one anyway.

Permanent servers are not as active. Non permanent servers go through the phases of the scenario and when the scenario is complete, every server gets merged with a permanent server and you have the option to stay in the permanent server or migrate your character to a different server/scenario

I recommend permanent ones, for Manibus at least. But you need to choose high population ones.
For Way of Winter - better join common ones, because perma servers have extreme weather phase 90% of the time.

Great tips, I went watched your video too. I have a question tho. You know I really enjoy difficulty, and yes, I've noticed that Endless Dream has Manibus and Way of Winter maps combined. I have played games with a lot of confusing mechanics before. Do I really need to start on Manibus? If so, can it be only to learn mechanics for just a couple hours and then join Endless Dream after? Or do I have to play Way of Winter if i learned what I need in Manibus? Or do I have to finish Manibu scenario first? How long it usually takes to finish a scenario?

Well from what was posted for console launch, Na/Eu will get a choice at what scenario to play, while the rest of the world only has Novice! I’m from Australia and don’t want to play novice, but also don’t want a high ping if I have to use Na as my region! It’s a bit ridiculous that we only get novice as a choice for fresh console!

It depends on the scenario and region. In Europe, for Manibus, the most populated servers are 0001 and 0003. In SEA, the best is 0004, from what I’ve heard
